DO NOT get a Bank of America Credit Card!!!!  Bank of America WILL make you pay for unauthorized charges even though their website states customers have $0 Liability for Unauthorized Charges.

I noticed unauthorized charges on my Bank of America Credit Card in the amount of $216.01 and immediately wrote a letter to Bank of America disputing these unauthorized charges. I also called Bank of America as soon as I noticed the unauthorized charges.

Bank of America denied the fraud claim saying "Because the activity on your account appears to reflect a typical spending pattern, we are unable to determine that fraud had occurred on the account".

After writing several letters to Bank of America, they still deny reimbursing me for the unauthorized charges. They also deny giving me any kind of proof linking these unauthorized charges to me. No copies of signatures, no PIN number entered etc. 

I then filed complaints with:

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Better Business Bureau

Missouri Attorney General

Missouri Division of Finance

Office of the Comptroller of the Currency

 

Again, DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD WITH BANK OF AMERICA! There are so many other great credit card providers who will actually not hold you responsible for unauthorized charges.  I would highly recommend American Express, Barclay Card, and Capital One instead of Bank of America.

 Why don't you check out FIA card services and who they service........it's owned by bank of America and they are the largest servicer in the world......all the other banks you listed too! Two years after I found out I finally was told who serviced my California Edd Account........you guessed it held with bank of America service by their whole owned company FIA card services.......trust an believe if you've lost a dime if your identity has not been stolen it's going to be! The bank will not help you! Please check ALL of your accounts and recovery emails! A recovery email was added an allowed to ruin me an nobody said a word and at first I was told 1000 transactions was my normal spending! MY ACCOUNTS WERE OVERDRAWN AND FLAGGED 13 TIMES! Did i say NO NOTIFICATION OR STATEMENT! PLEASE CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS!

Interesting how only whiny people trolling ripoffreport.com / Bank of America employees with horrible grammar comment on this.  Again, this site is for consumers to warn other consumers and here is the warning:

STAY AWAY FROM BANK OF AMERICA CREDIT CARDS!!!

 

Bank of America, unlike any other credit card issuer I have ever had, WILL make you pay for unauthorized charges. Bank of America wont even provide any kind of proof linking these charges to the consumer and their investigations are flawed.  

 

CONSUMERS BE WARNED

 

Any other trolls want to talk about whining?  Go get a life.  This is for consumers to warn other consumers

Looks like Tyg hit the nail perfectly on the head and was right on target with their observations.  The original poster has ZERO intelligent rebuttal and responds with the very typical and very immature "you must work for them" whine.  It happens all the time here.  Guess what Einstein...I don't work for them either!

 What they said is "We CANNOT disprove that YOU didnt make those charges." They are NOT saying you have to pay it, they are saying YOU have to prove to THEM that the charges are actually unautherized. Isnt it amazing how quickly YOU go on a public forum to WHINE about them when all THEY have said is PROVE the charges are not autherized. Firstly, take a few moments to let go of that VICTIM mentallity. Secondly, take a few mins and THINK about how many times THEY have to hear that someone DID NOT spend that money when they actually have. Im sure that once YOU get over yourself YOU will see WHY they have said PROVE IT!!! Sorry but that is the way it goes. Your fellow citizens have LIED so much that no company is willing to buy YOUR word without proof. Its NOT the banks fault that YOUR ACCOUNT was compromised. YOU are potentially making THEM a victim TWICE!!! Once when they have to pay the supposed amount NOT autherized and AGAIN when YOU want that money back. Why is it so difficult to understand. YOU wouldnt just give someone money out of your own pocket on a flimsy excuse. WHY would YOU expect and assume that THEY would just believe YOU without some form of proof.

Only a Bank of America employee would make such a comment...Fellow Consumers Be Warned!!!!

Bank of America WILL hold you responsible for unauthorized fraudulent transactions!!!

I have never encountered such issues with any other credit card company.
