I am very disgusted by Bank of America. Not only are they incompetent at financial matters, but they need a major refresher course on their professionalism.

Last Wednesday, July 13th I went to the Bank of America located in Fairfax on Lee Highway and made a deposit of 3,000 dollars. The 3 thousand dollars were compiled from approximately 6 different checks. Most of them were bank of America checks meaning that the person who wrote them had a bank of america account.

Anyways, I told the teller I wanted to withdraw two hundred dollars and she told me I couldnt do that. I asked her why not? I thought that was very strange because I had more than two hundred already in my account. Then a few minutes later shes like oh my mistake i can give it to you.

SO then, she finishes the transaction and I take the money and go home. Thank GOD I kept the receipt.

So on Saturday I go to the ATM to withdraw 1400 dollars to pay for an airline ticket and I see that the checks have not deposited. I thought that was very weird since I had deposited my checks on Wednesday and they were mostly all bank of america checks. None of them had cleared yet.

I go back on Monday and I speak to the same teller that helped me. SHe tells me that its going to take another day and I should have the money in my account by midnight. I'm like fine.

So on Tuesday I go back. The money is STILL NOT IN MY ACCOUNT. At this point, I get really frustrated with them. The manager comes and says that there was never a deposit made. Thank God I had my receipt and I show her. She is just speechless. SHes like I'm going to have to send it to research. She wanted me to leave my phone number and she'd get back in touch with me.

I told her h**llllllllll noo. I need my money TODAY. I had to buy the airline ticket today and I told her I also wanted to close my account. She started getting a snotty attitude with me. She had me wait for over an hour and then she told me that the money would be posted to my account by midnight which isnt very ideal for me. I think that they should have done something so that the money would have gotten into my account that same hour since it was their error and not mine.

I am veryyyy dissatisfied with Bank of AMerica and am telling everyone not to ever get an account with them. They thought they could just cheat me out of 3,000 dollars just like that.

A few words of advice to everyone: PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS> I would be 3,000 dollars short if I hadnt kept my receipt. Don't trust anyone. Like I told my best friend today, I would really be bettter of keeping my money in an old shoe box.
