this is a shortened version of our exhausting problems.june 02 we sold our home.the day before our lawyer wendy oneil sent her employee onto my workplace to inform me that we had no balance after selling our home. very shocking to me! the next day we went to her office to sign the sale agreement.she stated she just returned from a holiday she told us she was up late the previous night and the numbers from the bank ''didn't jive''.

She signed the agreement under protest. She informed us that she would delve into this. But it would of cost us half of what was owed to us. We were overcharged 7100.00 plus 1800.00 for signing our mortgage renewal. Something we didn't do. She said If this was owed, we would not have been able to sign for previous renewals.

After weeks of phoning to stratford office our 1800.00 was returned. That to us was a statement of guilt. We phoned the department of banking regulations nothing could be done. We later discovered this departement is funded by the banks.

This tells us our money in our opinion was stolen. We were also told we were entitled to monatary for our pain and suffering. My husband and I wrote explanation letters to the supreme court justices. This a personal problem that they do not deal with. At this time the paperwork(re. mortgage) from the bank of nova scotia was proven wrong. This decision could not be overturned.

What my husband and I can't understand is if the bank was wrong why are we not entitled to our 7100.00 or where did it go? We phoned osgoode hall and were told our problem should have been looked after when we sold our home. We also wrote the human rights and we were told the same thing. IN conclusion it is suffice to say that the justice system has failed us.

To allow a canadian bank to toy with peoples pain and suffering is criminal. After all there was no payment paid to lawyers by us. Does this not say there's corruption out there? There were many times during this duration we were told our moneys were forthcoming. We have never received any compensation at all.

During this time we felt we were mentally tormented. The reason we put this in print is so canadians like us should be aware how the banking system treat their customers. We are senior citizens on a fixed income. This makes this even more criminal. Just to mention there was no newspapers that would print this story. We wonder why! We had one major magazine that was going to print this, but other stories came first so we withdrew.
