We apologize for the way you felt you were treated here at Basil Resale, and we take these alleged actions extremely seriously and promise to do our best to never let this happen again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and you should never hesitate to contact a real Manager or the dealership Owner at 716-631-0400.  There is always a door open to resolve any issue. We have had to hire additional technicians and service advisers to handle the extra calls because of our growth, but we're sorry you felt like you were left hanging.

We have been in business for 27 years and could not get to be where we are today without helping a lot of people by doing the right thing. Our free oil changes for life are very real, in fact in any month we perform over 650 complimentary oil changes with no strings attached - none. That's almost 8,000 per year, and we use manufacturer recommended oil filters, and Semi-synthetic oil.  We currently have vehicles made between 2001 to 2013, and depending on the age, level of previous use, some are nicer than others.

On all of these, we perform at least a 110 point inspection, plus many items mandatory for a NY State Inspection to ensure every vehicle we sell is safe. The NY Lemon Law does provide you a process for remediation should you, or anyone feel they bought a lemon, and that's the last thing we want to sell you. We admit we do sell a lot of cars, so it's not impossible to over look something by mistake sometimes, and that happens, but it's rare, as we are human too. We would have loved to have the opportunity to address all your concerns before it got to this stage.

Every person who buys a vehicle here at Basil Resale does so under their own volition, and anyone may take a vehicle they are looking at to an independent mechanic, no question about it. Should you find something you aren't comfortable with, we'll do everything we can to resolve and fix the issue. You are never pressured to buy anything here, it's our job to take your vehicle needs and provide a solution.  

Lack of vehicle maintenance is the single greatest cause of problems for vehicle owners, and it is recommended by the manufacturer to follow their maintenance advice best you can, and we encourage this but with our free oil changes for life, your used car will last longer, run better, and be worth the most it can when you are ready to give it up for something different.  Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention.
