Baxter Mitchell & Associates Debt Recovery SCAM Ft Lauderdale Florida

I was contacted by Monica Stewart of Baxter, Mitchell & Associates and she convinced me that they were experts at collecting debt from deadbeat customers. I gave her 4 accounts with the agreement that they would contact me the next day with my first update and then they would update me weekly. Her main selling point was that they would only work the accounts for 2 weeks at no charge. After 2 weeks if they would either have my money and would forward it to me minus the 25% recovery fee, or they would turn the accounts back over to me with their final report.

Well, after I turned the information over to her via fax I never heard from her again! I called the next day and left messages but was told that she was not in the office. I let it go for a day and called back but never got an answer, so I started to call on the accounts I turned over and found out that they had called people and advised them not to speak to the company that they owed the money to anymore!!

I had to have my lawyer send them a letter to discontinue all collection activity, but I have never gotten any of the money they collected that was owed to me.
