please stay far away from this debt settlement company. they misrepresent current customers with their creditors. they take your money everymonth and tell you they are going to settle your credit card accounts. However, all they do is take your money. they dont contact your creditors and they allow legal action to be placed against you from your creditors. I asked for a refund and the company refused and told me all the money i gave them was for their start up fee ($6,470) and then the company told me to go bankrupt!! crooks! i was trying to avoid bankrupt route and all this company did was put me more in debt!

Bay View Law Group is a disgrace

AUTHOR: Georgia - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 20, 2010

My husband and I are notary public/process servers.  Bay View Law Group contacted us to bring their papers to someone for signatures.  This is normal with mortgages, loans, refinances as we have been doing this for about a decade.  HOWEVER we found it strange that we don't have to notarize anything - they just want us to bring the papers and saw we REPRESENT Bay View Law Group as THEIR LEGAL ASSISTANTS.  When we don't even know them.  In doing this we could jeopardize out notary licenses and process servicing licenses.  Then I started looking online to see about complaints against them.  I saw this one first.  Keeping an open mind I looked around more and found others.  The decision was made for us in dealing with them via the Better Business Bureau rating of F.  Their report reads:

Company Rating F

Our opinion of what this rating means:
We strongly question the companys reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the laws licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the companys industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.

Very Pleased with BayView Law Group.

AUTHOR: Sir - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 03, 2010

I just got off the 'phone with Tom Lopes of BayView Law.

Last night I had heard that they could solve credit card problems over $10,000 and I could not sleep because presently I have one of those problems.

In the short interview with Tom I was told the consequences of my debt and was presented with a solid solution to my dilemma. This conversation cost me nothing.

If you were my own mother I would tell you to contact Tom at 888 300 8884 and at least talk to this guy.

I do not work for BayView Law nor am I compensated in any way by this firm.

Tom is a pleasant person to talk to. No pressure. No hype. Just a nice guy.

It seems as though there are quite a few people on the internet who want everything for free or want to destroy your reputation for fun. Even the competition will jump on the bandwagon just to make themselves look better. There is so much chest beating that the consumer becomes confused and often quits looking altogether.

This is my one chance to give a positive evaluation using my real experience as your guide.

Looking for more information

AUTHOR: Lisa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 26, 2010

I am curious to know more detail to Monica's complaint as I am in the process of hiring this company and do not feel her report is supported by actual fact rather than speculation. What was the reason they told you to file bankruptcy exactly?

The ONLY scam artist here is "Monica"

AUTHOR: Bay View Law Employee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 03, 2009

During an internal discussion at Bay View we discussed the possibility that Monica may be a former employee who was dismissed for poor performance. She has confirmed that suspicion in her newest post telling all she's never worked for this company. Read our original response above, nowhere did we say that or even imply it. We believe the only scam here is the one driven by Monica.

Monica, if you are or were truly were a client, call us. We are always generous with the few unhappy clients we have spoken with and would prefer to make a refund that read your outrageous fraudulent rants. The time has come Monica, either pick up the phone or find a new hobby.

We are so certain that Monica does not exist and has never been our client we will, if she steps forward and proves her allegations, immediately mail her a check equivalent to twice what she paid to Bay View Law Group.

Bay View Law Group Response

AUTHOR: Bay View Law Group - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 14, 2009

We are sorry to hear that Monica found our services unsatisfactory but we question the validity of her claim. We have made an exhaustive search of our records and our firm has never had a client named Monica from Amherst, NY. Furthermore in the firm's entire history we've never had a start-up fee of that amount-or anywhere close to it. We do offer Bankruptcy and if the attorney recommends a BK as the best resolution for a client's situation, the client's fees transfer to the BK file. Frankly, this entire report leaves us puzzled and wondering if this is a jealous attack from a less-than-sterling competitor.

We take pride in the services we provide. We notify every creditor of that the client has engaged our services and stay in contact with those creditors to insure they speak with us rather than the client. We record a call with each client reviewing the contract in depth to insure they understand the pros and cons of whatever debt remedy they have chosen. Our contract includes a return form to exercise their right of rescission during the first seven days. And should a client have a problem we encourage them to call us, to speak with a member of management and search for a solution that is satisfactory to the client. If this was indeed posted by a client, we urge Ms. Monica to contact us.
