Very simple ... the vehicle is advertised on Toyota.comtoyota.com/html/tcuv/results.html?RequesterID=toyota&language=&Action=getVehicles&ActionType=quick&SearchModel=Prius&SearchZipCode=14218&SearchState=&SearchRadius=250&SearchMinYear=2004&SearchMaxYear=&SearchRecSample=25#top for $15581. Called the dealership, they use a bait-and-switch tactic where the vehicle is priced well below the actual price on their website in order to attract buyers, to possibly sell something in their range or the same vehicle at a muuuch higher price. Very deceiving, spoke to the Internet Sales Manager who is very rude and throws it in my face that I am looking for something that does not exist instead of admitting false advertising.

Does anyone else see that the information this person posted (from whatever website they saw this car advertised on) is not a Camry...its a PRIUS? Those are the tiny little hybrid cars that Toyota has. So maybe a Prius IS 16k. So technically, the sales guy wasn't lying when he said it didn't exist. It really didn't. A Prius is there though!

Driving 100 mph is REAL responsible.
Nothing is wrong with a "leftover." In fact if the car was $23,000 a year ago and is now $16,000 that is a great deal for a new car. That "leftover" has the exact same warranty yours has, and if Fstrdr is driving even 30mph less than you, this "leftover" may even outlast yours at the rate you drive.
Fstrdr may be more responsible than you as well Thomas. It seems he did his research before attempting to purchase this vehicle. If the car did indeed exist at that price, he will have purchased it for a third less than you purchased yours. That may be the reason that the internet sales manager said that Fstrdr was "looking for something that does not exist." With the '08s out the price dropped on the '07s to make more space for the '08s. and the vehicle may have been at that price once, but may have been sold without any changes or notice of this on the website, which may be a bit misleading.

$26K might have been reasonable a year ago but the 2008 models are out now, so why fiddle with a 2007? You will not save anything buying a "leftover".
I bought a 2007 Camry LE V6 with VSC a year ago for $23K. It was an OK price. Edmonds claims my Camry is STILL worth $23K.
By the way, our Camry V6 REALLY moves! And you cannot tell you are going 100 unless you look at the speedo. It was delivered with Michelin Energy V-rated touring tires that are great in the rain. [ V-rated means the tires are rated for sustained speeds up to 149 mph.] This car is for sober, responsible and mature people ONLY!
