Been Verified is a total rip off. First of all they advertise on the internet, and on tv, that they can help you find out if people are safe to be around and their criminal background, but the first thing any intelligent person will notice on their website is the disclaimer on the bottom that says none of the information is legit. They basically find first, last, and middle names and slap criminal records on them when the names are close to the same.

A few days ago I took their 7 day trial and found that my name comes up with about 100 criminal records attached. Now hear this I have a perc card in Illinois that allows me to work in security. In order to get a perc card I can't have any criminal history. This includes everything from misdemeanors to felonies. That means if I had any sort of criminal record my application for a perc card would have been rejected. You can confirm this by checking with the Illiniois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. This is a 2 to 3 month process that includes finger printing and background checking. There is no way in hell I have any criminal past. I'm telling you I wouldn't be able to describe the back seat of a police car to save my life.

I have made been verified aware of this situation 5 times in the past 4 days I havn't even received a response. When you look at the criminal records for someone you look up on Been Verified (at least in my case) the birth dates for these records don't match the person you looked up...wtf. All I have to say is that this is a very poor service to use to figure out if you can trust someone you just meet. Words of advise; please look up your own name before checking anyone else with this service. Thank you.
