Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing and deceptive marketing practices Cincinnati Ohio

In July of 2004 I saw an advertisement on the television for a free sample for Dromias. I contacted the 866 number on the television and requested the samples. I was asked if I wanted to enroll in the Managed Care program and I told them "No, I only wanted the free samples." I was told that I would be billed $4.50 on my credit card. I received the samples of Dromias. Dromias is suppose to help you sleep the "all natural way" Today I received a package in the mail with 2 more boxes of Dromias. When I called the 866 number to tell them I did not order this supply they informed me that I was enrolled into the Managed Care Program. I told them I did not and that I wanted a refund of my $70.00. They told me NO! The customer service person was less that curtious leaving me less than polite. I informed her that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and she didn't seem to be a bit phased by it.

I contacted my credit card company and told them that I wanted to dispute the charge. We'll have to see what happens.

I work in the pharmaceutical business with products bigger and better than this "junk science". I also have connections within the FDA and the FTC and I plan to call in some favors on this one as well as get the AG in Ohio and Florida involved.

There are too many complaints for this company to go untouched. Current laws are in place to protect the consumer regardless of the regulatons that do or don't cover herbals. Keep the complaints coming. It's the only way to take these guys down.
