BetOnline.ag BOL Shady and manipulative INTERNET Internet

It seems to be common knowledge that this site is a complete scam. Simply Googling the name of the site brings up an endless list of complaints and accusations directed at this ridiculous company.

I have been using BOL for a few months and I have had it. I have spent all morning trying to cancel my account and cash out my funds. It's clear that they make this process as lengthy and difficult as possible to prevent the user from retrieving their money. If you deposit any money on this site you shouldn't expect to get any of it back.

Lets first start with why I decided to quit BOL all together. I am a pretty good poker player. I've been playing Texas Holdem' for around 11 years and I am better than your average bear; but not a high stakes player or professional by any means.

It is well known that there are bots on the site that know which cards are about to flop. Each player on the site can give a dozen examples of a time where a "John7328" or "Jennifer1854" or "Tony3778" has gone all in with a hand like 10-6 off suit only to hit a full house or flush on the flop. They cycle these bots through tournaments, and cash tables alike, to encourage rebuying and re-depositing.

I have 2 accounts on BOL. One of which I never deposited, I simply won a free-roll and worked my way up from that 2$ prize. Because I have not deposited on that account they will not let me win.

The top 8 or 10 cash in most tournaments and each and every time I get to the final 15 the site starts working its notorious shady magic. Today was very typical. I swear to god I am not exaggerating and I promise that when I say every day or every time I really do mean that.

I had KK to A-J off suit.. the A hits. Okay, a 3 outer hit.. that happens..

 Next all in.. KK to A-J off.. same exact thing happened.
 Next all in I had QQ against pocket 3s.. 4 diamonds hit to give opponent a flush.. Next all in.. I have a set of 9s to a pair of Kings and a double gut-shot straight hits. Next all in, I have a set of 6s to a pair of 8s and another double gut-shot straight hits.

This was a very typical tournament. Unless once i make final 20 I check my way to 8th place they will always force me to bust just before the prizes through several consecutive 88%-12% bad beats.

I'm fine with losing to a better hand, and sometimes there are streaks of really bad luck; but this is on a completely different level than being dealt a few bad breaks. On free-rolls where first prize is $2.50 and there's 750 opponents the cards fall normally. I get a bad break, then I catch a lucky break. I have bad day, then I have a good day. This is clearly a site that is not happy about he idea of me winning without depositing. losing 5 out of 6 and 6 out of 6 hands in a row where I had the overwhelming advantage; just before the cash every single time, day after day is just beyond comical. It is beyond coincidence, and it is certainly beyond the realms of bad luck.

What really proved all this to me is when I tried other poker sites. Americas Card Room (among others) is completely different. Sure, on ACR I have had some heart-wrenching bad beats land against me. That's poker and its a part of the game; but on ACR (just like in my decade of playing live holdem') it evens out in the long run. 6 bad beats in a row all right before the prizes; day, after day, after day, after day, is exclusively on BetOnline.ag and I'm not going to be screwed with anymore.

They really made me feel like a sucker. Scam artists tend to make one feel that way. I recommend Americas Card Room (ACR Poker) if you're a US player looking for a fair and fun place to play.

Bet Online also offers an area on the site where you can read customer reviews. It is clearly fraudulent. There is no way to add a comment, even if you have an account with them. All of the comments are extremely positive and there's nowhere else on the internet where that is the case.

In order for me to get my money cashed out; I'm told I need to copy my ID, copy both sides of my credit card that I used to deposit, then fax all this information to them then wait a few days for a response. Or at least that's what one representative said. The next one I talked to told me I could e-mail it. This is not a quick withdrawl within 24 hours of request like the site promises to depositers.

I have found their customer service overall to be rude, manipulative and ultimately difficult to understand.

I really regret signing up for BetOnline.ag. I hope this helps people to choose a different site instead of getting sucked into a scam like I did.
