*Consumer Comment: Correct..
New to shopping online. I was stupid and thought I was actually bidding after buying 50.00 worth of credits from Bid Fun. Outbid within a matter of 30 minutes or less. Please be smarter than me and don't use this "Auction". I have learned a lesson quickly and at my expense. I was only trying to bid on a video game console for my grandson. Now I've lost $50.00 for his gift with nothing in return. A very sad mistake on my part. Can't trust anyone these days, can we?

You really can't trust anyone. Even the banks are ripping people off.
Now you say you are new to the internet. If you want to shop using the internet you can find great deals and there are ways to protect your purchases. But you should only purchase from reputable sellers and businesses. This will greatly cut down on your chances of getting scammed. In most cases a quick internet search will let you check out any reports and ratings/reviews of sellers, retailers and wholesalers...even the products themselves. And there are safer ways to pay..such as using PayPal through a credit card. This gives you the added protection of being able to do a charge back with the bank, and the safety of not having to submit critical account and personal information out on the internet to sellers.
As far as auctions, I buy and sell on eBay with no problems..but others have had problems by taking stupid risks and expecting PayPal or eBay to cover it. However eBay is operated like an auction should be. The site you went to is for gambling and entertainment..but you got sucked in thinking it was for shopping. You found out the hard way.
You say you were stupid and admit to making a sad mistake..I admire that you take responsibility for doing something stupid, but don't be too hard on yourself either..you were deceived and scammed like so many others we read about on this site and other complaint sites.
I feel most of these penny fake auction gambling sites will be shut down, or have to at the very least disclose more apparently that they are strictly for gambling and entertainment purposes only (and hence have to comply to regulations), not as they often state ... "an alternative way to shop for a great deal". That type of implication and claim they usually make that this is simply another way to shop for a great deal..is about as far from the truth as you can get. Might as well play lotto..at least with lotto no unexpected fees show up on your account.
