I bought several pairs of earrings in December 2005 and returned the most of them, as they are not as described or quality of the product is just so bad that you can not, don't want to wear it!
I have been fighting for refund since. I have one refund outstanding. The size of the pearl meant to be 6mm but it is only 5mm. They insisted that the size is correct. How can I argue something that no longer in my possession.
I was told today that they will not refund. I am angry not just because of money; it is because of the practice, the customer service.
Next time before I return any products, I will/need to obtain a professional report/certificate.
Should the relevant state authority do something about it?!

Never purchase at bitz.com again

Yes, you are all correct.
When I said "next time" I did not mean to buy from bidz.com, but any other .com, as you can't tell whether they are good or bad. Be more cautious, for all return items we should be able to provide witness or take photos such as evidence, or even get a professional opinion which is go to a jeweler.
Lesson learned.

I bought a bunch of pearl jewelry that was absolutely not as described.

Makes you wonder about the supposed "14 mm" pearl rings that you see selling for $500.00 amd up. I returned everything within the 2 week window and paid the 15%. I wish I had read these reports first.
In order to return thier merchandise, don't you need a return code #? If they gave that to you, I would think that's consent to take the return on thier part. If they gave you a return # and accepted your merchandise, you do have a fraud complaint now. I encourage you to file a report. At this point they have your merchandise and your money, so what do you have to lose? Also, I would have advised taking pics alongside a mm marker of the items.

Never buy anything from this company, they are just bad news, I payed the price.

only wearing them once or twice stones would fall out, watches would stop

A couple of years ago I was on the Bidz craze. After receiving a number of pieces of jewelry and only wearing them once or twice stones would fall out, watches would stop (batteries dead), etc. Stone size was incorrect, length and width of gold/silver chains not what was listed. Purchased a couple of gold chains and when I picked one up in my hand it just broke in the middle. It hadn't caught on anything. Just very weak inferior gold. Their "resale/advertised/appraisal" are way off base (too high!). I stopped ordering and won't purchase again from them.
You stated "next time" ... after what you've seen and been through do you really wish to continue ordering from them?
Hasn't changed in 2 years why would it change anytime in the near future.
