Rip off club. Several attempted contacts to customer service via phone and email - no response. No notification membership expired. Stopped in Clermont location in a pinch as I was short on time. Forced to renew at register for $55. Had no intent on renewal, as prices are not a bargain - those who state they are need to check your receipts.
Attendant working register had no clue what the surcharge was if I did not renew - useless. See attached receipt comparison - 2 pack Wishbone Italian dressing $13.98 - Same exact item in Walmart $3.88 for a single - could buy x4 in Walmart for just $2 more than the BJs 2 pack price. Guess customer service does not respond because they don't like being shown their prices are no bargain and they are a ripoff.

Shot Down in Flames

I see Gregg finally faced the fact that he posted his own proof that his claim of a rip-off was fabricated. He won’t be showing his face around that BJ’s for a while. Poor thing.

The ever evolving story

Amazing, when someone posts something that contradicts your narrative...you change the narrative. So can't wait to see what's next.
Nice work, you just provided further proof BJs ripped me off. I only bought one twin pack of that Wishbone dressing. Also, thank you AGAIN for pointing this out and forcing me to further examine the receipt as I only bought one 4 pack of Barilla sauce and was charged for four.
- If you weren't at a Club Store people may believe you. But every Club Store, including this one, checks your receipt upon exit for over and under charges. How do I know they checked yours...there is a Mark on it. The people at the door know what to look for, and it's unlikely to miss one item let alone 4 extra items(1 2-Pack of Salad Dressing and 3 packs of Pasta Sauce that you say you were charged for but didn't actually buy).
enter the likley Covid-19 filled box store and ask for a refund
- That didn't bother you when you shopped there and Walmart which per your receipts were AFTER the current situation started.
Also, regarding your comments on refund, again keep ignoring the stated facts and focusing on your feeble attempts to discredit others.
- WTH? How is telling you to get a refund if you aren't happy an attempt to discredit you? The only discrediting to your post is done by you by continuing to make up excuses as to why you won't actually do that.
As mentioned, phone calls, emails - no answer / response.
- How exactly could you e-mail or call? You stated yourself you can't go to their website and since their receipt doesn't show an e-mail address how did you know what address to use? How do you know it was the correct one? Did you call the store number on the Receipt? I did and took about 2 minutes to get connected to someone. If you called some other number, again how did you find that number with no access to their website? How do you even know that you are trying to contact them by the appropriate means?
I'm not the shopper in the family who knows prices, and made the stop out of urgency due to someone being ill at the time
- People don't go to "Club" Stores out of a matter of conviennce or urgency. They especially don't drive 27 miles out of their way to do this.
Now since you really seem to be fishing for someone to be critical of you. Even if we figure you are telling us you only bought 1 2-pack of dressing and 1 4-pack of sauce. That doesn't expalin why just 2 days later you went and bought another bottle of Dressing. You either drink it or own a resturant. Now being the troll we all know you are now, I am sure you will ignore every single statement made and focus on this last one.

Also, thank you AGAIN for pointing this out and forcing me to further examine the receipt as I only bought one 4 pack of Barilla sauce and was charged for four. Stupid me for getting ripped off as you clearly pointed out. Also, regarding your comments on refund, again keep ignoring the stated facts and focusing on your feeble attempts to discredit others.
As mentioned, phone calls, emails - no answer / response. Sure, if I had too much time on my hands I could go drive 27 miles each way and waste my time / gas to personally enter the likley Covid-19 filled box store and ask for a refund. I'm not the shopper in the family who knows prices, and made the stop out of urgency due to someone being ill at the time (no not Coronavirus) and not knowing when I'm being ripped. Pardon my stupidity for actually trusting large company to not rip me off while I'm rushing home to a sick family member and standing in their parking lot scrutinizing the receipt.

Let me cut to the chase. I have attached a screenshot directly from their site showing that in fact the cost of a 2-Pack of 36oz bottles of Salad Dressing is only $6.99 just like your receipt shows. Which also shows that you did indeed purchase two 2-packs.
But knowing you can't let this go. I can't wait for your next humerous response, that I am sure will try to poke fun at everything I have stated. Perhaps you will claim I photoshopped it and post your own photoshopped "proof". Even though you probably have hours and hours of free time, realize that anyone can go to their site and see which one is right.
Instead why don't you post a copy of the receipt showing you cancelled your membership and got the fee refunded. After all if you are posting all of these negative things, and still keep the membership the only RipOff here is the one you are causing yourself.
So on your marks...get set.....GO

Sorry, you are wrong again

Check your facts please before writing. When you buy a 2 pack at BJs, they do not charge it as a single. Rather, BJ's charges the same if the item were a single - hence the 2@ $6.99. I did not purchase 2 x 2 packs of this item. Perhaps, if you wish to again prove your lack of facts, mathematics and knowlege might I suggest a visit to Bj's to purchase this item and you might just have a light bulb go on and say to yourself - "oh, this dude was right" and I was wrong though you imagine you never could be. The exact same goes for the Barilla sauce listed on the receipt. Note the sauce says 4 @ $8.49. I didn't purchase 4 seperate jars of sauce, but rather one packed / wrapped 4 pack containing 4 large jars of sauce.
With that, I thank you again for being a "Treasured Guest" on the Rip-Off forum. Perhaps, you can move on from attempting to berate others with incorrect facts and allow this forum to be used in the manner it is intended - that of notifying others before they also get ripped off.
Happy Easter Sunday and have a nice life.

Greg, good rebuttal, don't take it personal. This dude Robert or Stacy berate anyone reporting their issues. Never any positive statements, just critical. I guess they consider themselves the overlords of website. They need to stick with their video games till mom calls them up for lunch.

You Are Totally Incorrect

Forcing someone to perform a transaction against his or her will is a crime. Did you file a complaint with the Clermont Police Department? Or, perhaps you were not forced to submit your Visa card at checkout.
You wrote, "See attached receipt comparison - 2 pack Wishbone Italian dressing $13.98 - Same exact item in Walmart $3.88 for a single…"
A single package of 2-36 ounce bottles of Wish-Bone Italian Dressing is $6.99 at BJ’s. You paid $13.98 for TWO packages (total of 144 ounces), NOT ONE package. Your receipt clearly states, "2 @ 6.99" directly below your red circle. Therefore, a single 32-ounce bottle is $3.50, which is LESS than the $3.88 cost at Walmart.
You may want to perform some basic math operations before you criticize another person’s level of education. You owe the previous commenter an apology.
You need more vegetables and less nuts, beans and pasta in your diet.

Rebuttal on BJs wholesale

First, I would like to thank you for your completely unsolicited useless and unhelpful rebuttal.
Second, I would like to apologize you are in your 40's, 50's or whatever and still stuck home living in your mothers basement with nothing better to do then make feable attempts with your computer at discrediting otherwise valid rip-off reports.
Third, I'm sorry the public education system failed you and you could not understand the additional $2 was for 4x what I received at BJ's - i.e had I purchased 2x Wishbone Itlaian dressing at Walmart it would cost $7.76 vs. the same 2x pack at BJ's for $13.98. However, they do offer high school GED's and remedial math courses in case you were not aware.
In further review of your rebuttal, I must say I find it astonishing how you focus on the points you choose and spin them into your attempt to berate other individuals due to your low self esteem surrounding your own lack of adequacy and education in the real world. Perhaps, you completely missed the part about calling, emailing and oh yes, forgot to mention their website won't load on my secured computer because it does not accept spyware cookies! One other thought I may offer: Perhps you work for BJ's, and I fully understand the education level you have shown in your rebuttal keeps you employed cleaning BJs bathrooms.

So cancel your membership

If you are unhappy then get a Full Refund on your Membership...
Directly from their site..
Members who are dissatisfied may cancel their Membership at any time and request a refund of Membership fees paid for the current Membership period at all BJ’s Club locations.
As for being "forced" to renew. You weren't forced. In order to complete the transaction you needed to renew. You had the choice to complete or not complete the transaction, it was your choice to continue.
By the way to some people $2 is a significant amount of money. But your price comparison is hardly that...1 item...Really? But let's say that the average savings is only $2 per item. If you buy just 50 items in a year, you would have saved $100($45 after you deduct the membership fee). To many that is a signicant amount of money, and to many who buy more items such as larger families the savings do add up.
The only RipOff is the one YOU are causing to yourself if YOU continue to pay a membership fee and feel that you aren't getting the value you want.
