Jennifer Greer, proprieter of Blackpond Outfitters, rented a home that I own in Makanda, Illinois, which she operated her business from. She lied to us and did not pay rental fees or security deposits after we worked with her to lower the rent, arrange alternative payment of security deposit, and proprated the first month's rental fees.

In addition, she wrote a check to Midland Hills Country Club for membership dues that came back for insufficient funds. Jennifer would lie, tell us that she must have written the address wrong, that the check was in the mail, and that the mail service must have lost the payment. I had to eventually contact an attorney to have her evicted.

When she finally left the property, she trashed it. There were garbage bags full of dirty diapers, mud all over the hardwood floors, human feces on the bedroom floors, rotten food in the fridge, nails in the garbage disposal, torn screens in the windows, shelves ripped out of the closets, and the stove, dishwasher and clothes washer were nearly unsalvageable.

Furthermore, it should be noted that we spoke with law enforcement authorities concerning a charge of animal maltreatment of some horses that she supposedly owns. Anyone considering renting or otherwise doing business with Jennifer Greer should proceed cautiously.
