Bloomingdale's (a part of the MACY's family) likes to brag about how they have the best products and have the bust customer repore because they hire the best people...

If you are considering employment at (any department store, but specifically) Bloomingdale's, beware of the hype they sell you about how great your work environment is, and that your HR deparment is there to HELP you. They're not. Beware especially of Bloomingdale's Lenox's HR Manager, Beth Palmer: She doesn't really know what she's doing, and pretends to be your friend and acts all nice, but when it comes down to the wire, she will leave you hanging and pretend that she did all she could to help you.

They treat their best employees like SH*T because they know they can always count on said employees and keep demanding they produce more and get more new credit card accounts out of the unwitting customers. All the while, the s**t-starters, the non-producers and those who are chronically late still keep their jobs and lean on their hourly wage. And they wonder why the store is not producing??!

Bloomingdale's truly is "like no other store in the world" because they fire the great people over small, repairable things and keep the thieves, drama queens, and idiots. I wonder if Michael Gould knows anything about this...?

Apparently, they forget that word-of-mouth is the best advertising: a majority of my friends and family will never shop at any Bloomingdale's again for how they treat their employees.
