Blue Hawaiian Fiberglass Pools is a fiberglass pool manufacturer in Largo Florida. In June, 2006, they referred us to their local installer, Blue Dolphin Pools of Brevard.

We signed a contract, with Blue Dolphin Pools, for a pool, patio and screen room. We have had nothing but problems since. To date, I have paid them 95% of the contract price.

To begin, Blue Dolphin began work without a permit. They rarely, if ever, return my calls and rarely if ever showed up to do the work. After 3 months I filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations and the local Better Business Bureau. After 4 months, the pool and patio have been completed; however, I am still waiting on a screen room.

Meanwhile, I have a pool in my backyard wihtout a fence or screen room - this is a serious liability for me as a homeowner. I have been contacting Blue Dolphin Pools on a daily basis asking them to either build my screen room or refund my money so I can do it myself. They refuse to return my calls and continue to avoid me. I have sent them certified letters and they are ignored. I have attempted to go to the company office on several occasions and nobody is there.

Blue Hawaiian Pools, the manufacturer, will tell you that my contract was not with them, but with Blue Dolphin. While that is true, the fact remains that they referred me to a local contractor that was VERY less than reputable - and they were VERY well aware of it.

I have tried repeatedly to contact customer service at Blue Hawaiian to get some help in resolving this matter. On one occasion, I spoke with a lady named Renee. While Renee was very polite and courteous, she did acknowledge that she has had problems with Blue Dolphin Pools - specifically getting return calls from them.

On another occasion, I spoke with a gentleman named Chad Biltz. Again, Mr. Biltz was very polite and courteous; however, he also acknowledged that Blue Hawaiin has had customer service problems with Blue Dolphin Pools. On one occasion, he specifically told me that the relationship between Blue Dolphin and Blue Hawaiian "...is what it is...". He also told me that they no longer refer Blue Dolphin to their new customers.

I don't blame Blue Hawaiin for the problems I am having with my pool contractor (Blue Dolphin); however, I am very upset that they referred me to a local contractor that they knew was less than reputable.

I think that Blue Hawaain should do the right thing by either:

1. taking action to get Blue Dolphin to complete my job or

2. they should provide me assistance to complete the job and hold Blue Dolphin financially responsible.

If they truly are a reputable company, they will take action.
