Better Business Bureau: Christmas Mountain Village Complaint

Sunday 13th of 2007 we had an appointment at the Christmas Mountain Resort in Wisconsin Dells at 9:a.m. This was supposed to be a 90 min to 2 hr tour of the village, and so we made plans immediately afterwards to enjoy Mothers Day. After 3 hrs of offers we thought about a sampler package for 895.00 well our credit card was processed even before we seen the contract. Here comes the fix; when we get the contract to sign our salesperson goes on another sales call, so any questions we had could not be answered by the lady who processes the credit cards. We sign the contract feeling un-easy and before you know it we thought we were stuck because it says no refunds, and we didnt have the salesperson to ask any questions about the contract. Friendly stopped now. We were asked a series of questions and initialed a paper, but we were not given a copy of what we initialed. The lady that processed the contract had to call us back 2-3 times before we even got out the door because of things she had missed. She clearly did not know what she was doing and could not answer any of our questions. Each time we asked a question she would say, "That's a good question. Let me find someone who can answer that." or "Let me check into that for you." The example they showed us before we had purchased the "sampler" was of one of the cheapest vacation weeks they had to offer in this particular package. We were given 9000 points which they led us to believe would purchase us one full week of vacation. After the contract was signed, we were given our books and upon reviewing these, had come to the conclusion that we were not able to purchase a full week of vacation at all. I would hope for $900 we could stay at a hotel for a whole week. We then figured out we would also need to pay air fare, rental car, tickets to theme parks, food, ec... With four children this becomes very expensive. Upon further review of the materials we were given, we came to the conclusion that were could only take our vacation when the kids are still in school and nowhere near a holiday. The package does not offer anything for the summer months or holidays. I am very unhappy with the way this has turned out and I hope that my complaint will not be taken lightly as I have now read many other complaints that were listed on the internet about this company. Please investigate! Don't let so may others have to go through this kind of ordeal as I have. Some people simply can not afford to squander their money in this way. We save all year so we can give our children a nice vacation and a life time of happy memories of their childhood. I am very disappointed that I will now probably have to tell my four children once again they will still not get to go to Disney because we just can't afford it. I would really appreciated it if I could get my $900 refunded or at least be given enough points to take a full week of vacation with my family as promised to me.
