Deceptive practices, lying and making false promises were used to entice us to buy a timeshare. We were promised 6 "free" weeks of vacation, but not given the certificate for them until months later after I made several phone calls. When we received them, we found that it was not possible to use those weeks. We would not have made the purchase if we had been shown the certificate, which is only for a few resorts in very narrow time windows.

We were also told that we would be able to travel any time, any where. That, again was a lie. We have yet to travel to any destination we wanted to travel to, even after trying to get it at various times, with plenty of notice.

Another selling point was that this is something we would own and be able to pass down to our son. Now, only two years later, our points are almost worthless and what would get us a week at some resorts when we bought it, will now only get us a few days or no time at all. At this rate, there will be nothing to pass on to him except, of course, the club dues and maintenance fees.

And speaking of maintenance fees, they have just increased! We were never told that they would ever increase -- another item that was conveniently left out of the sales presentation.

Everything we based our purchase on was a complete lie! We bought this timeshare in good faith believing that Bluegreen would make good on their promises. They have not.
