I purchased a copy of DVD Ripper from Bolisoft and after installing it I tried to convert a movie to MP4 for my iPod. The rip went successfully, but the audio was out of sync (it actually started in sych, but as the movie progressed got more and more out of sync until it was 45 or more seconds off).
I wrote to Boilsoft for help and they asked a few questions, then wrote back and had me download a "test" installer. I uninstalled the licensed version I had and installed the test version and attempted to redo the video, but when Istart the Rip the software immediately crashed. I tried several more time with the same results.
I wrote back to Boilsoft and a few minutes later received an email that said only "Let me think".
After 2 days, I had not heard from them so I wrote again asking if they'd had an success in finding the issue. No reply.
A few days later I wrote another polite email asking what was going on. No reply.
A few days later I wrote and said that I'd like to know what we can do to resolve this. No reply.
So basically they took my $34.95 for a product that didn't work, then had me uninstall it and install a completely non-functional version that won't even rip *incorrectly* and then stopped replying to email hoping I'm sure that I'd just go away.
I work in software and I understand that sometimes things go wrong and I can accept that if they'd only communicated. They could easily have given me my money back and it would have been no harm, no foul but to treat customers this way is simply wrong.
