I went to the BP gas station on 15 mile and Van d**e to fill up my car, I had a half tank, filled up the rest with premium. Got a few miles down the road and the car started chugging and almost stalling out.
Got it home and thought it was just bad gas so I put a bottle of water remover in and bounced the rear end of the car to try and mix it up a bit. Tryed starting the car and got nothing, it would start for a second and chug out a bunch of white smoke then die.
I took it to a local repair shop only to find that the fuel I put in was diesel fuel, I know i didnt use the diesel nozzle because it is bigger and wouldnt fit in a gasoline car fuel tank filler port. This whole ordeal wound up costing me $320 to drain out the tank and have the whole fuel system cleaned out.

Most semi truck pump nozzles are larger and can flow faster. But some BP's and other stations will have a diesel nozzle that will fit into a gas car filler. Do an internet search you will find many reports of people asking what to do when they messed up and accidentally filled with diesel at the gas station. Go back to that BP and double check. If it fits you must acquit.
Now if you are correct and they are pumping diesel out of their premium pump, they owe you for this repair. And every single other customer that used that pump..there will be a lot of sputtering and dead cars around your area because no gas engine is going to get too far from that station before they sputter and stall.. Get together with them and have the station pay for the tank drainings.
Unless you simply messed up? Possible?
