It's always something, isn't it?

The report filed by this man is not accurate. What he fails to mention, is that there was a leak that (according to his employee whom I remain friends with to this day) he never repaired. That leak caused enormous water loss, which is turn raised my water bill. He knew about this leak the entire time, didn't tell me about it, and allowed me to just continuously pay to fill that tank over and over again at $300 a whack. Why he would post something like this online, rather than communicate to me directly, is telling.

He also claims he "made me leave." I was leaving anyways. This was by no means a conventional home, it's "Solar Power" was a joke, constantly losing power when you needed it most, and yet he promotes the home as a solar home on his Craigslist ads. The man, who designs homes for a living, designed this home out of airline parts. Literally.

I have no complaint about the house, other than the leak. But this was a home with holes in it, causing rats to be able to come into the house. Then he complained that I got a cat, which was the only control I had over the rats. The rats stopped sneaking in once I got that cat.

He seemed a nice enough guy to me, but his facts, as even his newly renting neighbors can attest (he owns the home next door as well) is not accurate. When he wasn't drunk (I'm sorry, but there was a serious alcohol issue with this man and it had an impact on his ability to deal with issues when I had a complaint), his wife came in to do the dirty work, making judgments without even knowing me.

I love Hawaii, and I have returned several times since. I will always call Hawaii my home half of the year. But unfortunately, as this man did, people do tend to make up things behind a screen, never saying it to your face.

It's a cowardly society, something I've also learned during the last year.
