Do Not, shall I repeat...Do Not ever, ever, stay at Budget Inn in Allentown on Hausman Rd. unless you like ants, and possibly being burned alive in your sleep.

First off, we left a cup of soda out for a few hours...and since cheap motels only give you plastic cups, well...usually all do...there was a little leakage from the cup on the dresser. When we came back into the room a short while later there was about eight ants crawling on the cup and inside it.

Then, when we leave a letter on the bed for housekeeping telling them to get rid of the ants, we find housekeeping only fixed the blanket and didn't even change the sheets on the bed. Then, when we try and get another room they keep playing around with us telling us they will call back, they will call back to switch us but never do.

Not only was there ants, but there was no smoke detector in the room. We had to ask for one. Can you believe this? The guy kept playing with our heads though saying he will take care of the ants, but never did. He just kept taking care of himself by stealing our hard earned money. Then, when we go and call around to stay at other motels in the area such as Allenwood motel and Super 8, can you believe both places said No because the guy owning budget inn contacted somehow both of them and we weren't allowed in either??

How insane is Allentown? My god. And he wouldnt give us the full refund. My god. My god what has America come to. It's disgusting. I wouldn't even let a rat sleep in budget inn in allentown.

Oh Puhleeeeease!!!

It does not sound like the hotel situation you are describing is all so serious.

First of all, you state that there were a total of "EIGHT" ants crawling around on your plastic cup of soda, which you carelessly left in the room. You act like the entire room was infested with ants, however, they were restricted to the cup. Hmmmm.... did you consider throwing the cup -- soda, ants, and all -- in the trash, to eradicate the "ant problem"?

Not all hotels change the sheets EVERY DAY when the room is rented for consecutive nights by the same person. In fact, MOST hotels do not! Judging from the name BUDGET INN, I think it is reasonable to assume that daily sheet changes and mints on the pillow are not included in the BUDGET rate that you are paying.

Next time, get REAL before you file a complaint. A legitimate complaint would have been a filthy room with pubic hair on the bed, or trash on the floor, or noise going on at all hours of the night. Not one freaking little cup with eight ants crawling on it. Great Goggly Moggly!!!
