I rented a moving truck, the truck was a real POS (piece of sh%#), was told I could return the truck at night and leave keys and contract in night drop as to avoid being late for the 8 a.m. due time. I moved, went to the gas station and filled the truck up with gas, so full gas came out all over my pants and shoes. Then I returned the truck - note the gas station is less than a block from the rental place- did as instructed, left keys and contract in night drop. I then called the next day to get my TOTAL charges and was told I owed $105 which would be taken out of my initial deposit of $150.00. I asked for a break down of the charges and was informed that I was charged $27 for 2 gallons of gas. I was upset and requested that the manager return my call to discuss this. Then the lady said "well maybe someone stole gas from the truck after you dropped it off", WHATEVER! Then a few days later I checked my bank account only to find that they had charged me $130.04 and not the $105 that I was told. I had to call the manager back myself as he did not return my call. He was not helpful and tried the same "maybe someone stole the gas" crap. This company is a joke and they are only in business because they are stealing money from hard working people. DO NOT EVER RENT A TRUCK FROM THEM

USE Pensky - muck better company, better customer service, better equipment.

You gamble when you drop off a truck

AUTHOR: Chuck - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 15, 2009

NEVER EVER drop off a truck after hours and you wont have this problem. You are gambling if you do. You are still responsible for the truck until the check it in the next business day. What if that truck had been stolen? You are still responsible for it. Always keep it parked in a safe place and take it back during business hours. That is common sense.

My area TV station had a story on groups of theives stealing fuel from rental trucks all over the state, when the fuel price was so high. The tanks do not have locking fuel caps. The business is not responsible until they take possession of the truck when they open. So next time use a little common sense.
