Budget Truck Rental Budget truck ripoff poor customer service unpaid settlement Wichita Falls,Texas

My fiance and I rented a one way rental truck and car carrier from budget truck in Milwaukee,WI to go to Sacramento,CA for 1,722.38 in which 150.00 of this was a deposit.The car carrier broke down in Brooklyn,Iowa with one tire on flat and all the others on a slow leak according to the company budget hired to come and fix the problem which took 2 hours.

We then get to Kimble, Nebraska and at the last minute decide to stop at the rest area due to the next one being over 90 miles away,as soon as we park we hear a loud boom and we step out of the truck and the axel was broke and the car carrier was smoking so after thanking god we did in fact stop thinking about how deadly and dangerous it could have been we contacted budget again.

We were told that they could not get us another car carrier till the morning and that we were to take our car which was packed to capacity off the carrier and drive to a hotel and thah they would pay for all accomadations including food and to keep all receipts.The other car carrier didn't come until the afternoon.

The hotel manager was nice enough to let us stay in the room until the truck came w/o paying again.Upon receipt of the next carrier we hooked in up and noticed the signals wasn't working. We finally get to CA.unload our things and take the truck back and only recieved 48.00 of our deposit and was told we were charged for an extra day.

We were instructed to complete the rental and then call customer service and we were to agree on a settlement for all the problems.We agreed upon 420.00 which later turned into 820.00. This started 12/26/2006 it is now 03/06/2006 and I have yet to see a dime.I called cust. service today for the 20th time and was told by Sarah a supervisor who refused to give a last name that my check hasn't been sent and the finance dept. was closed and I couldn't do anything but wait. She refused to give me any numbers of anyone over her and gave me a fax number and an address to corporate with no names.

These past couple months I've talked to cust. service many times and was assured my check was sent out I even have one of the reps on my voicemail giving me a false check number and telling me to be patient my check is on the way.I brought this matter to another supervisor and he told me once again the check had not been cut and he didn't know why so i asked him you mean your workers was lieing to me all the times i called he responded by saying i guess so.I told him with all this frustration I will be looking for another way to get compensated he told me there was nothing more they can do for me.
