 Dennis LIED about the service and support they can/will provide. We will have this house done in spite of them. From the beginning they assured us they would be with us throughout the build process. As soon as they got paid they stop talking to us. We repeatedly sent emails, text and phone calls about our dissatisfaction. The money paid to Built Green was not worth it as Dennis Celsor did virtually nothing for us. We had issues with some contractors and Built Green continued to back them up by keeping them on their preferred contractors' list. They have a good sales pitch. But that's all they have. The "advantage" to building your own home is saving money. Well, IF we saved any money it was costly in my time and stress. The price paid for the house will be at least $20,000 over the projected budget. The phone calls, running to the house several times a day, buying supplies, fighting with the subcontractors, etc, is not worth it. The incredible amount of time spent is unbelievable. The budget did not adequately reflect the real cost of labor and material. They budgeted based on the lowest bid they had or past experience. Not what a custom home with quality would cost. We didn't receive the 3 bids for every aspect of the build as promised. My recommendation to all interested parties building their own home, DO NOT USE BGCH. Our neighbor started 1 month after us with U-Build-It and moved into their home in July. We're still not done and Dennis Celsor couldn't tell you what stage we're in because no one has checked in with us in over a month. Since we made the final payment in April they have only contacted me 2 times by phone. Mind you, we started in January and don't expect to be finished until October.
