I own several businesses.  Luckily I know how much it costs to file the "Statement of Information" form with the state of CA.  I received one of the BOGUS forms from "Business Filings Division"  warning me that I should "AVOID PENALTIES, FINES AND SUSPENSION" and "REMIT IMMEDIATELY" THE SUM OF $239.00 to them in order to stay in business.

The TRUE cost of the filing with the state of CA is $20.00!  These shameful RIP OFF ARTISTS are trying to scam unwitting business owners by charging them TEN TIMES the true amount of the fee!

Their forms LOOK OFFICIAL, and I'm sure there are many overworked, overwhelmed and tired business owners who pay without really looking at the entire form (thinking - ohmygod, what did I forget to do now???!  better just pay and get back to trying to make an HONEST DOLLAR doing my business.)

I think these SCAM JERKS should be PROSECUTED and PENALIZED!  So DO NOT BE TAKEN IN BY THEM!  BEWARE!
