By Design - USA Wallpaper Decorate with Style, Inc NO REFUND RECEIVED, THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!! Ottawa Lake, Michigan

Order for wallpaper placed 4/13/09.  Received email 4/20/09 that paper was on backorder but should be available in 1-2 weeks.  I sent email to company on 5/27/09 to inquire about order.  I received another email stating it was still on backorder. 

Another email was sent by me to check on order status 6/8/09.  Received email that order should be shipped by 6/15/09.  Called company on 6/18/09 to inquire about order.  They said it was still on backorder and said it would be another 4-6 weeks.  I cancelled by order on 6/18/09.  Received email on 6/26/09 confirming the cancellation and said that a refund would be coming shortly.

I called company once a week for 3 weeks starting at the end of July to check on refund status.  Each time they said that it was in the accounting dept. and there was nothing they could do to expedite the refund.  (BBB profiles this company stating it has only 4 employees-so hold up with accounting dept. is a joke)

I sent an email 8/16/09 saying that 2 months is unacceptable to wait for a refund and that I would be contacting the BBB.  I received a response saying that the company has made cutbacks due to the economy and that the refunds are taking longer than usual.  This was not an exceptable email.  Everyone is suffering from the economy and that is no excuse.  I went to BBB to make a report and saw the massive complaints that this company has.  There have been 891 complaints issued in the last 36 months with 744 of them regarding refunds.

Luckily, I paid with a Visa card and called the company to dispute the charge.  They listened to all my issues with the company and filed the dispute stating that I would get a credit on my account.

My lesson learned here is to check out a company before making a purchase!
