Once a con artist has completed his scam, he will yank the rug out from under you.  Suddenly, without warning, you have to come to terms with the fact that you have been taken to the cleaners.  —The effect is devastating.

To admit you were wrong can be emotionally shattering.  You are left reeling and alone with that voice inside your head yelling, "What have I done?!"  Dignity and self-esteem are gone, replaced with shame, guilt, embarrassment, and anger (first it's self-directed).  You think I'm going overboard with this description?  Not really.  I've just been through this! 2 weeks of hell! .

Main reason con artists, scammers, people who commit fraud don't go to jail: Many victims are afraid to do so, or they feel to be d**n fools and are not about to make it worse by going public and some just don't know where to turn to. Same outcome : no reports filed and the scumbags get away! It took me a week before I filed a police report.

Byron Joseph Dias (he also goes by Byron Joseph) is the con artist I'm referring to. This is my 2nd report about him on this website. The first one was written right after I found out about the scam. I was still very shocked by what was happening to me.

This one is directed to warn other women but to also let other victims know what to do if they want justice! I did all the research, used all my connections, contacted all the right people...and today I'm in a better shape to stop him and who knows even get my $ back (I actually think that he doesn't have a dollar to his name!)

I just talked to the other victim who first reported him on this website (Thank you for saving me!!!). This man is a disgusting human being. Her story took place over a year ago but she was too scared of him and too ashamed so she never reported him to the police or filed a lawsuit against him.  She's finally going to do it now. Things are about to change. We have a stronger case against him.

So please if you have been a victim of Byron, go to your Police Department and file a police report. And then go to your district courthouse (where you live or work) or his.

If you just met him, here is what you need to know:

The relationship will start, feeling swept off your feet, feeling that you have met your soul mate. He's so charming, so complimentary, so suave...etc  Soon you feel comfortable and you trust him. Then he will lose/misplace his wallet and start asking to borrow some money that he promises to return to you as soon as he gets his wallet back (my case: wallet was  mailed out to his NY address by the staff from the restaurant he allegedly left his wallet at  (so please call the restaurant!!!).You don't worry much : you know where he lives (even where his mom lives), he made you believe that he's more than just financially stable, he's a model/actor who taveled the world. He used to live in NY with his other model friends (they do exist, one is a supermodel). He shows you a picture of his mercedes that he crashed few months ago. He's the one who supports financially all his family (his mom and stepdad (they have a farm and he recently bought them 2 horses), his brother, his sister, his daughter). I was invited to spend Christmas with his family and I also work in the same company as the mother of his daughter... He will say and show you anything that makes you believe that you will get your money back!  Never thought ONCE that he was about to scam me out of money!!

One thing that I noticed after the facts but now it makes so much sense is that he pays soooo much attention to your expenses/lifestyle : jewelry (I had to prove/convince him that my cartier bracelets were fake!), clothes , car (price, is it a lease or is it paidoff), house (your mortgage) etc...

If this prevented at least one person from being taken advantage of by this scumbag, then I did my job!
