C. R. England My Family suffered right along with me West Valley City Utah

On Sept. 9 2007 I got onto a greyhound and made my way to West valley city utah from Phoenix. I wanted to get into a new career and make some money not to metion see the country. With all the promises of c. r. e. I thought that this would be fun.

When i arrived it all began, noone had told me that i needed to call a shuttle to get to the yard from the bus station and of course there was noone there to answer the phone with the only number i had been given. Luckily for me there was a very nice couple that lived in salt lake that gave me a ride to the yard. Then once arriving I wasn't on the register. Recuiting "forgot" to add my name so all the female rooms were full. The fianally found me a bed in a room that the other female in had head lice. Yep excatly what i thought thanks so very much and gross.

Class what a joke. Yeah i got my cdl but did i learn how to backup that truck before they sent me out with my trainer? Hmmmmm NO!!! Unless all i was going to be doing was straight line backing. I even asked at one point do i need to learn how to serpentine? The response that i received was "No you'll never use it". LOL well ok if you don't consider that only every day i use it.

The trainers......Where do i begin. My trainer (who made employee of the month just 2 months ago) was the biggest jerk in the world. He called me such things as stupid b***h, dumb a*s and so on. Only wanted to teach me to backup when we were in the yard dropping me off for the c.a.t upgrade class. I had to endure him watching porn, fighting with his wife over the phone, listen to him talk about all the other females that wanted to "do" him while they were in training, and threating to kill himself on the phone to his wife. When i called to asked to taken off his truck I was told that they would have him take me to burns harbor and get me another trainer. That was the last i ever heard of that.

I left messages, called numourous times to no avail. When i got back and had to grade my trainer i told everything and was told that it would be taken care of. Well i guess employee of the month is his punishment. I found out later that he only takes female trainees and only 1 out of 9 make it with him well i guess we know why. Seems to me c.r.e. keeps him around to get rid of the women who want to drive.

I did stay thinking that all of that was just a fluke no company can really be that unorganized or lacking good judgement could they?

The day i signed my lease was a circus people hurrying us to get out so they could go home, my d.m. pushing me to take a load, and haveing to move all my stuff into my truck.

They say .90 cpm really it's .76 cpm you know .14 cpm right off the top for veriable mileage can anyone really explain that to me. A 1.25 a gallon for fuel is still .15 cpm more than anyone pays on the rebate program which they don't explain. The repairs at their vendors cost at least 30% more than any where else.

Let me make a long story short cuz i really could go on and on. In 10 months I, on paper, I made about 95,000 but took home about 8,500. I can count on one hand the number of checks over 200.00. When i would call to get an advance to live on they would tell me they didn't give any advances over the 100.00 a week that is automatic, that it wasn't my money in my maint. fund, that my 100.00 a week should be more than enough,(even though you pay for scales, tolls, food, cigs, idle aire when you can swing it, and laundry out of that).

In my short stay at england i lost my house, family, car, self respect, most of my sanity, and my faith that there is a trucking company out there that respects and pays their employees.

I was evictied from my house in my last 2 months with england. My 16 yr old son was then placed in foster care because i could not provide food or houseing for him and for england to get me back to phoenix was an act of god. When i did get back here and told them that i had to quit because i hadn't seen a check in 5 weeks they threatend me with abbondonment if i didn't drive the truck back to utah not careing that my son was in trouble.

They are an evil company and all their talk about family, safety, loyalty, and helping their drivers is bull s**t.

They should be ashamed of themselves and not to metion keeping my money that was in all my accounts which is about $13,000. I will be contacting OOIDA and finding out what my rights are not to mention im going to have every trip and every account and every paycheck gone over with a fine tooth comb. England you better hope that my attorney does not find anything cuz rest assured I'll be comeing after you in a court of law. I'm a very angry mother and you've hurt my family with your greed. I know a little about the mormon religion and you really should brush up on it. I think a nice little chat with your bishop is in order. You do your religon no favors.
