I joined Cajun Fitness to tone up my body. When I joined I was told that my assigned personal trainer would contact me once a week by phone and the trainer would be available at the gym on certain times & days of the week. When I signed the contract it was suppose to be for 1 yr. It ended up being a 15month contract. I was told that the "kids play room" would be free of charge. The play room was $15-20 a day. I was also told that the gym offered a special room for women only. However, that room does not exist! The day that I toured the gym, I noticed there was not many people working out. I ask the employee that gave me the tour "what days is the gym crowded". She responded, "the gym is never crowded bc they opened several other location so their members spreaded out". The first day that I went to workout it was extremely crowded.I parked my truck in the grass bc there was no where else to park. Instead of working out I turned around at the door & went back home. 2 days later I called "Yonnie" to see how can I buy out of my contract. Yonnie stated that the only way that I could buy out of the contract was IF I WAS MOVING OUT OF STATE and that she needed proof of that. I became very upset and just didnt go back to the gym. The $55.00 monthly dues was still be drafted from my account even though I never worked out not one day. 3 month later my personal trainer finally called me!! The next morning I called & spoke to Yonnie again about buying out of the contract. She told me that the buyout would be $205.00. I was shocked bc a few months ago, I could not buyout of the contract. I sent a $205.00 check to Cajun Fitness and about a week later I received a letter from the Administrative Assistant at Cajun Fitness stating that Cajun Fitness would file charges through City Court for the remaining balance.I told her that the check had cleared my account. She then stated that I still owed $100.00 bc the buyout was $305 instead of $205. This gym is a rip off. Its crowded, over priced, trainers dont contact you in a reasonable amount of time, instead they email you newsletters, employees tell you different information!!!! This was completely a waste of MONEY! I could have saved $315.00 only if Yonnie would have given me the correct buyout information... Please Don't waste your time.

I am all for complaining when you do not get the service you deserve, but if you want people to take you seriously, you have to get the facts straight from the beginning. I am a member of Cajun Fitness in Youngsville and while they are not perfect, (aging equipment, full classes to exclusion,) they do not charge more than one or two dollars per day for child care. It has never been $20.00 per day, or even $15.00. Just one or two dollars per child. So unless you were trying to bring in 20 kids that day, they never charged you more than one or two dollars per day per child. I too hate contracts and have had bad experiences trying to get out of them. To solve this problem I pay in full at the beginning of the year, which means that they do not have access to my bank account.
