Camden Legal Group called my client and told her they would get a mortgage modification to lower her monthly payments. Camden (Sophia Martinez) required $750/month for 7 months and never got the lower mortgage payment. Camden also told my client to stop making her mortgage payments to her lender which she did. Both of these are typical scammer tactics.
It is illegal for anyone to require money/take money before doing the mortgage modification work. This is not a legitimate legal group.
The address is a mail drop - a business that rents mailboxes. It is not an office of any kind. Camden claims 20 employees according to the BBB.
If anyone knows how the owner or any staff person can be contacted I'd like to know. Do not do busines swith these people.
If you need a lower mortgage payment talk to your lender first. If you decide to get help NEVER pay in advance of a successful mortgage modification. Choose someone who lives close enough that you can see their office. Better yet, ask around for a non-profit housing agency in your area. You can find experienced helpful people locally - where you can see them in person in a real office and not a mail box.

Swinder Camden Legal Group Mortgage rescue scam taken to court in California by State Bar of California

Jimmy Swinder is an prohibited from practicing law in California. The Stae Bar of California took him to court because he was posing as an attorney while he was prohibited from practicing law. He was running a mortgage rescue scam.
He was disbarred for 3 years. You can check the State Bar of California web site:

It is important that everyone who was victimized by a lawyer complain to the Bar Association in the state where that attorney practices law. At least you will have satisfaction that you have added another complaint that might lead to an investigation. At most, maybe you can get some of your money back. No guarantees.
Please note: the State Bar of California determined that attorneys Sophia Martinez and Daniel Olson were not involved in the scam.
