Around the middle of November 2012 I had the misfortune of finding a 2002 Audi TT Roadster at Camelback Ford.  I filled out an application and I was told I was not approved.  I completely expected that since my credit is not great so I moved on to a dealer that did their own financing.  Shortly after the initial contact with Camelback Ford there were a number of text messages and voicemails (which can be produced and will be used as evidence for the Attorney's General Office) stating that I was approved afterall.  Only to be followed by another text saying no sorry you are not approved.  That continue right up to 11/24/12 when I was pulling up to a different dealership to pickup a car I had previously put a deposit on.  I received a call from Jessica stating they were sorry and that Brent had arranged the financing and I should come right there to pick up my car.  I was beyond thrilled.

I bring in my initial deposit, in cash as requested by Camelback Ford and I do the paperwork and I was fully prepared to take the car home that evening.  Jordan, apparently another manger, told me to leave the car and they would wash it for me and that was the least they could do.  So the next day I am prepared to pick up the car and I am told that I need more of deposit, much more.  They would not take a check they would however, take cash or a credit card.  I knew the maximum I could charge on my Visa debit and it would not allow me to make that transaction so I brought the cash with me.  I give them an additional $4,000 and I was so excited to pick up the vehicle I never thought to ask for an additional receipt until I got to the door and they said well your contract is your receipt.  Sure enough at the top of my contract it says down payment received $4500.  Sounds legit to me so I rush over pick up the car and I am off.

Around Dec 6th I received more calls and text messages telling me the finance is done and I need to come in and sign the contract so I could get my plates.  I go there and they tell me the financing didn't go through and to this very day they refuse to return my deposit.  I called the police and I do have a police report and I am going to file against them right after Christmas.  I got rid of my SUV and I have been renting a car I can't afford that must be returned.  I told them over and over again that I going to be fired and evicted because of the fraud Camelback Ford committed and I demand my money back immediately.  They are trying to charge me $20 per day for driving the car!  A car they told me was financed and approved which never was and had they told me that I would have returned the car that very day.  I had the police meet me there to take a report for the courts and while waiting Jordan said to me "I am going to show you how we do it here" he and a few other employees surround the Audi TT with big SUVs so it is completely boxed in and Jordan says watch when the cops come here they won't be allowed on here it is private property.  Clearly this has happened before.  To this very day the car is boxed in and I have not received my money back.  Did I mention as I type this it is Christmas Day?!  My advice is to stay away from Camelback Ford Used Car Dealership.  Never did I think a car dealer would do this to a person.

Feel free to drive by if you are in the area and you will see the Audi TT boxed in by SUVs.  They know they have no legal right to the car and my money but they think I am going to back down.  They need to think again, I am filing Thursday and I am contacting 3 On Your Side.  ***Stay Away From This Place***

Camelback Ford Saga Continues

AUTHOR: DianeV - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, December 27, 2012

I spoke with an attorney today that is going to take my case and pursue various types of charges against all the managers there.;) I called the finance company that Camelback Ford said approved my loan only to take back the funds later because they found I lied about my job.  No surprise, the finance company had never heard of me and my S.S.# is not in their system.  The fraud continues and these people must be stopped.

Additionally, I just checked my voicemail messages and there is yet another manager from Camelback Ford that wants to be sure my experience has been a positive one.  Another from an employee of Camelback Ford asking me if I want to refinance by the end of the year and save money.  It would be funny if it weren't for the fact that I believe this is there way of just throwing it in my face that have the car and kept my money.  Perhaps we shall add harassment to the list.  I suppose it is also possible that that they are that clueless.

Anyone in the area that is looking for an Audi TT I would suggest you stay away from this car:

This is a lovely vehicle but there are several things that are costly to repair that is wrong with this car.  #1 being that they never mentioned this car was in an accident.  I didn't realize it until I walked around the back to put gas in that I noticed the rear quarter panel has bondo on it.

Also, if there is anyone else there that has been robbed by this dealer we need to get together and do something about it.  I work to hard to give my money to a millionaire that employs liars and thieves.

I wouldn't touch this dealer with a 10 foot pole

I tried calling them and trying to help the customer get their money back or some kind agreement.  When you call down there and asked to speak to a manager it's odd, very odd that everybody is a manager.  I cannot believe that the automotive group Larry Vantyle Would allow such people to do what they do to consumers.  It's funny how they insisted on the customer bring $4000 cash without a receipt.  Maybe they're some people that work at that dealership they can't be trusted and the upper management that no clue

I'm going to send a copy of this ripoff report to a guy by the name of Said Deep and William Clay Ford.

Camelback Ford Admits They Owe The Money

AUTHOR: DianeV - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, December 27, 2012

There is a gentleman in this area that contacted me yesterday and he called Camelback Ford and they admitted I did give them $4500 in cash.  I am waiting to speak with him today to see if there has been an agreement reached and if not I am heading to the Attorney Generals with all my voicemails, texts, paperwork and police report.  These people are liars and thieves and they must be stopped.

I would like to thank Rip Off Report for their immediate response and it is good to know there are good people out there that care.

The best thing to do is to contact your Attorney General immediately and send him a copy of your Ripoff Report and copies of all the paperwork that the dealership gave you. Simply 'Google' this- ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERAL, and all of the information is available on the web.

Keep all of the emails, text messages, and voicemails for evidence and provide them to the Attorney General also. (Keep the originals and copies for yourself.)

The Police cannot do much in regards to an automobile transaction. It appears that the dealership will have to give you back all of your money, since the transaction was not approved for financing.

You might have to pay some type of a penalty for using the car, based on the number of days that you had the car in your possession and how many miles were put on the vehicle. Check all of the paperwork that the dealership gave you for the penalty that you might owe them.

Contacting all of your Local TV News Stations in your town is a great idea. Send each one of them a copy of your Ripoff Report and put it to the attention of 'Investigative Reporter'.

Good luck to you.
