Don't use Canada Post for international money orders. First, they charge a steep fee of 5 CAD. Second, if a digit is a "one", they print a capital "I" for that digit. They don't spell the amount either.
I had an international money order rejected by the vendor because it looked like an "I" not one. I have to admit, it did look pretty weird and fake.
When I got my money order back, Canada Post refused refunding the fee for the money order and refused to upgrade there printing machines. All over Canada they are printing a capital "I" that looks more like an "I" than a one and I was the second victim/customer that week to complain about it at that location.
Many products from Canada Post are too expensive. But if you must use them, don't get an international money order unless your amount contains no "ones" as a digit.
