I thought it might be fun to own a pair of Nike Air Jordan V again, something to kick around in on the weekends.  Thought I found a good place to purchase them as well, after all they looked authentic and the website made no mention otherwise...stupid I know.

The worst part is not that when they arrived 5 weeks later, (they had to sit in customs seeing as how they were made in China) or even that they were complete crap.  And I mean crap, I'm surprised I didn't find a child's severed finger attached to the stitching.  But I guess that is why you hire...no wait that implies they pay them...use children, they have nimble fingers.  The worst part of my experience was trying to get a return following their guidelines on returns.

You see I didn't read the return policy before I purchased the shoes, again stupid, but "luckily"  they sent me two shoes of different sizes, one 10.5 and one 11.  I say luckily because aside from this mistake they don't allow returns.  I follow the instructions on the website, finally get a reply saying, "sorry for the mistake but this happens all the time it is just a wrong size stitched into the shoe, they are the same size, enjoy".  Twenty plus e-mails later I come to realize that they never intended to return my money.  If it comes to it they just ask you to ship them back to China with a tracking number, ($40 plus dollars from the US) and once they receive them they will credit my account.  Do you really think they will admit to receiving them?  Once they get to China the Post Office has no way to track the package and confirm the delivery.

I purchase a lot of products over the internet and have had a few problems from time to time, it's part of internet shopping.  But this is a little over the top and when it comes down to it is just a scam.

One last note.  After I purchased the shoes the following weekend my account info was used to purchase product 3,000 miles away, I had to cancel my cards and deal with the bank to get the problem resolved.  Now I'm not pointing fingers at CanKicks for selling my card info.  I'm sure it is just as safe and secure as they claim it to be, but it was a hell of a coincidence.
