DON'T BELIEVE A WORD THIS COMPANY SAYS!

Approximately every two years, this company sends me a threatening letter that I owe them thousands of dollars from a debt that is over 20 years old! The statute of limitations on debt collections has been over long ago.

The debt was not legitimate to start with. A bank consolidated my accounts without permission, as well as other illegal acts and the state shut them down. They collected from their insurance company, pocketed the money, and listed the debt as uncollectable, ruining my credit for years.

This company, CAMCO is trying to frighten me into paying a debt that has already been settled years ago. The first time I received such a letter, I called them and they were incredibly nasty and demanding. I wrote them a "Cease and Desist" letter and thought that would be the end of their underhanded tactics.

Not so! CAMCO just wrote me ANOTHER threatening letter that if I don't respond within 30 days, they will ASSUME that the OVER 20 YEAR OLD debt is legit and contact my credit card companies. This is NOT LEGAL! How can these low-life people be stopped?
