Capital Acquisitions & Management Company (CAMCO) claimed my husband owed $4776.81 from a debt 10 years ago. What a joke. Ripoff. Rockford Illinois

Received a phone call from Mr. Lane in September telling me my husband had a past due debt from 10 years ago with Bank of America totally $4776.81. I questioned him why it took so long to find us - we are in the book and he apparently had our credit report in front of him - stating "I see that you are up to date on all your payments now."

I asked for supporting paperwork and received a letter from them giving me a 30 day deadline date. The following week received another letter from them stating if we paid $1500 by 10-17 that our credit rating would not be affected. Then I did some research and came across this website.

This is an outrage - these people need to stop preying on people with past debt problems. If there is a class action lawsuit in the making - count us in. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and if there is class action suit in the making count us in.
