Car City - Orbit Leasing did not care if the 2007 HHR was unsafe to drive, help with repairs my warranty did not cover or help me carry out my last year of my 5-year Lease! Battle Creek MI Michigan

I leased a 2007 HHR with pre-existing damage (I did not know about) on a 5 year lease in Oct. 2015. The car was already 8 years old. I included a warranty with my payment bumping my payment to 333/month. Going into my 5th year the pre-existing damages made the car unsafe to drive & cost roughly $1600 to fix of which my warranty did not cover nothing. I went through the whole process of contacting Orbit Leasing, Precision and Car City. Bill at the BC Office lacked concern about my situtaion. I asked him if there was anything he could do, like get me into another car to finish my contract, or help with the repairs since the damage was preexisting according to the mechanic Precision sent me to. I never drove the HHR out of state. I explained to him I could not afford to fix the HHR and make a car note and insurance. He lacked any interest in helping me with my situation. I drive my grand-children every day in the HHR. The mechanic said the HHR was unsafe to drive. Repairs included both front control arms with ball joints, 20 feet fuel line & Fittings (holes in gas line), RF needs swaybar end link, new exhaust from converter back, and LR Coil spring broke. The mechanic said all of the repairs are common with the year, make, & model of the car. I was left devastated! There needs to be laws where the auto business is held liable for pre-existing conditions on vehciles that have a history of certain repairs for their make and model, more inclusive warranty coverage for common known repairs on the specific make and model of the vehicle, and victim rights. I was willing to carry out my contract but with a SAFE car. Car City did not care if the HHR was safe, or that I transport my innocent grand-children dailyl and lacked compassion, understanding, and empathy.

 I returned the car to their lot 10/31/18, and was told by Orbit Leasing that I will have a voluntary repossession on my credit report now.

Super unfair!
