 About a year and a half ago, made a payment of five hundred dollars, which should have left a balance due below four hundred dollars.  On my next statement the balance jumped to over sixteen hundred dollars.  I had not been using my card, because I was trying to pay it off. And ever since then, paying more than the minimum amount, did not affect the balance.
