Cardservice International trick you into getting a contractural agreement, billing for non uses services ripoff California

As a new small business owner I searched a few credit card companies to learn about getting a credit card machine. I applied with 3 companies not knowing if I qualified. Of those three companies Cardservice International was one. I decided to go with 1st National processing which has no hidden fees, and I get my money in two days.

Cardservices International called me and told me I was approved for an account, I explained to them that I was no longer interested and did not want to continue the process. I never received any credit card machine, never gave them my checking account number (thank god), and never once used their service. I have recently been contacted by collection agencies stating I owe Cardservices International $500.

I called Cardservices International who informed me that their application is the actual binding contract. All the e-mails the sales representative sent say application.

BUSINESS BEWARE - DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU WANT TO BE BINDED TO THEM WITH NO WAY OUT.
