Well, looks like I was another victim of this company. I got the same exact e-mail... "According to the information on your application you meet the initial requirements for the position. I would like to forward you along as a potential candidate for this position." (Follow this link to fill out the application)
"This link will open the application page which will ask for a login to continue. You may log into the site using your id as follows:
Username: becca.farley@gmail.com
Password: farley"

Well if you click the link it brings you to career network job search site. If you log in, they will throw a few advertisements at you, then ask for your name, address, etc. And finally brings you to starlitecareers.com, which I was sent directly to from another false employer in the past. Finally if you go through the application, you are asked to enter three References. You cannot go any further unless you enter three people, with e-mail addresses for each one. Tell me why they would need that info, unless they are looking for more people to advertise to via e-mail? I don't even have e-mail addresses for my references.

Then I found out that you can't even respond to the e-mail that they send you. The 'job offer' is just an automated response when you apply for the job.

starlite careers is a waste of time

I read the statement that the co. wrote. I also read a statement from a very disappointed job seeker. I can tell you I went through the same thing with this company.

They are posting jobs on craigslist list with unrealistic salaries for the type of work. As I posted in another thread. There are several jobs on craigslist that lead to this site. Whats more is that it's not only starlite, but job push and more. Then that leads you to power applications.

I would advise everyone to do there job hunting carefully on cragslist. There are information vacuum cleaners out there ready to suck all the information they can. If a job listing looks to good to be true. It probably is.

Please allow me to clear up the issue

I'm sorry that you feel our recruitment practices are not meeting your needs. I'm sure this is only due to a misunderstanding of us and our business. Allow me to clear up any confusion by explaining who we are and what it is we exactly do.

Career Network is a new job board that is free to use by both job seekers and employers. Currently, there are thousands of jobs throughout the country available for application on our network of employment sites. We actively market those opportunities to individuals who have previously expressed interest in receiving employment offers. This works as a benefit for our corporate clients as we actively reach hundreds of potential applicants who had not previously been introduced to the opportunity through traditional job ads.

To keep our services free to both job seekers and employers we do offer advertising verticals on the site. However they are completely voluntary and do not in any way affect job seekers' consideration for the listed employment opportunities. We act only as an intermediary between the applicants and the hiring companies, and do not interfere with the delivery of submitted resumes for any reason. To do so would jeopardize our relationships not only with our corporate clients but our advertising partners as well.

Once those resumes are delivered, the rest of the process is solely in the hand of the employer. The decision to hire, not hire, contact, etc. is theirs alone. If they receive a large amount of resumes, they may require extra time to respond to the applicants who did not make the cut. From personal experience, I have received that letter as long as six months after I applied for a position.

We do have a contact phone number for employers listed on the employer section of our Web site. However, that will get you in contact with our account managers who have no control over the status of your application. Like I said, that decision is out of our hands. If you are having technical issues accessing the site, please use the email provided.

Furthermore, let me assure you that nothing will be done with your personal information that you do not expressly authorize. Foremost, since you are applying for a position, your resume will be transmitted to the employer who will then consider you for a job based solely on your skills and education. Beyond that, we will only connect you with our promotional partners if you agree to it during the application process.

I hope this clears up any confusion you may have regarding our Web site and our recruitment services. Please feel free to contact us with any further issues or suggestions at info@careernetwork.us.com.
