Sad as it seems I was deceived by this so called "company", thru a post on post on Craigslist.com. The post was in the job field for the particular section and job position I was seeking. I thought nothing of it, but now that I look back at the post, the whole post itself was skimpy and lacked any real substance. (Sample Below is to a post in Arizona, since the one I reported was removed form CL already.)

Web Developer

The Front-End Developer must have a strong foundation in developing online user experiences, with expert skills in converting design concepts into standards-compliant, semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.

The ideal candidate is proficient in separating code from content and hand-coding clean, tableless layouts. Must be comfortable working on a multidisciplinary team, in a fast-paced environment with fluid processes. She or he will play a critical role in helping to manage the web site redesign.

Responsibilities include:
Developing interaction design and overseeing UI design for widgets and web applications, creating and maintaining CSS stylesheets.

Required skills:
2+ years experience in development and coding for large-scale, content-driven sites
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX; Flash ActionScript is a huge plus
Familiarity with integrating Flash, video, and back-end functionality into front-end designs

Self-starter who is able to multitask and work well with little direction.

Please email Bob Blasingame at bobvblasingame@gmail.com for further details.

*the format to the email is also the same as the one i got scammed on... first.name.last.name@gmail.com

Also one more thing about the post is that if you look back you will see that there is no reference to the company name!!! So be on the look out for red flags like those i gave examples of.

As a last note, once you respond to the "gmail" client like I did, you will receive an email response from the "gmail" client linking you to the Career Network page. Do not follow that link! If you have been scammed by this you can also file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (iC3) a joint group of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).

(http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx is the link) I hope a resolution can be found soon to help stop sites like this.
