My wife interviewed with this company on Friday, 2/23 and was told she would have a job and was to begin her new job Monday, 3/5. The week in between the owner, Suzette, was away and wouldn't answer any of her calls or emails. When Suzette finally came back to town, she answered an email about the start time and date and told my wife that she no longer had a job. My wife, in the meantime, quit her job and now doesn't have one. Suzette told my wife that she didn't have a job because she did not complete a personality profile completed. My wife never received the email with the link and now is out of a job because an email was not received. My wife has tried to talk with Suzette about this but all she has to say is there is nothing else to discuss. Do not apply for a position with this company nor do any business with their "headhunters".

Listen, stop drinking the kool aid. I remember one employee used to spit in her diet coke when she was asked to refill her mug. It was hilarious and some real nasty stuff.

All I can say is that the experience was horrible for me but when you are dealing with someone who is bi-polar, this is what can happen. Ask her husband, he talked about it and all the pills she would take all the darn time. I really did not care to hear about her medical history especially at football practice.

Well, I wish you luck and maybe some other employees would chime in now to share their thoughts.

RJ - You need to get your facts straight:


1- This is small family run company.  Career Solutions International
supports several community programs, and has a great reputation. 
Suzette hires and fires based on how you interview (along with input
from her staff) and how you do your job.



As for the Rollins College comment, I am very good friends with an
intern, whom worked for Suzette and she has come back on more than one
occasion to work when she is not in school.  (If working there is so
"horrible" why would she come back?)


2 - Again Suzette hires based on your performance.  If you just sit
there and do nothing and look at inappropriate things during work hours
(JR), yea your going to get fired.  You go to work to WORK....

I have been with Career Solutions International for almost 4 years now
and I still love it there.  If and when people leave, most of the time
it is on their own accord.


3 - If you owned a business you may be a "control freak" too. 
Suzette is by no means a control freak.  She does what any boss does,
checks up on her employees as need be.  If you are not performing (JR),
she is going to be on you like white on rice.  It's her company and if
you're not doing your job obviously she is going to be watching you very
closely.  If that's been a "control freak" then anyone I have ever
worked is.



There are absolutely no functions that you have to attend.  Suzette is
nice enough to invite you and your family out, what other boss have you
ever had that has done that?



Suzette takes a personal interest in her employees (which I think is
awesome).  She gets to know you and your family and wants you to feel
comfortable at work and be able to share your concerns if need be.  Hell
she knows my entire family and they all love her.


4 - Internet Control - There is a reason the internet is controlled
at work...YOUR AT WORK!  Suzette DOES NOT demand any passwords from
anyone.  If it has the company name attached to it, she wants to make
sure that it is not giving the company a bad rap (as any good business
owner does).



There is no proof that anyone hacked into anyone's personal account and
no one has taken it to court...your full of crap.  I was there when you
said this all happened and have been there, guess what...NO LAWSUIT!



Suzette's husband is the nicest man you will ever meet.  He works his
butt off for the community helping under privilege kids and running his
own football league.  Yes his office is in a closet but by no means does
that make him a "closet husband."  He has no time to himself and when
he does he is spending with those kids, and Tim calls me when he has a
computer issue, how could he hack into email accounts if he's calling me
to fix his computer?

 
6 - Company Debt - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I would love to know how
you know what Suzette has for debt!  You must be a psychic or something!
(LMAO)

Suzette owns the building!  She bought it outright and only pays overhead!

And if she is in sooooo much company debt, why did we go on a company cruise?  Oh that's right, because we met our goals, the company is financially stable AND you weren't there JR!


7 - Non payment of commissions - The only way you do not make
commissions is if A. your candidate flakes out after so many days or B.
If you get fired or quit before your candidate has been there for x
amount of day or C. during your trial period.....Read the company
handbook!  And as for the non-compete, I do not know a company that
doesn't have one.


8 - Hours - Yes Suzette calls you on your COMPANY cell phone, hence
the word company!  If she is paying for your cell phone, she can call
you, as your candidates do.  She only calls you if it is absolutely
necessary or if she has some exciting news for you, like your candidate
just got placed.  Any how do you know about her friends?  Did she know
all your friends?  I think NOT!


9 - Respect in the Recruiting World -
Again...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....Everyone who is Anyone in the recruiting world
knows Suzette DiMascio.  Do you know why?  Because she is awesome at
her job and she knows the industry like the back of her hand!  She is
successful because of REPEAT business.



Oh and the fruit basket comment, we send a fruit basket to each of our
candidates as they are placed! Because Career Solutions cares about the
people they place and wants to make sure they have an awesome first
week.  (You would have known that JR if you ever placed anyone)



I love my job, my boss, and my colleagues.  At Career Solutions we are like family.

Bill - my heart goes out to your wife and I say that this is a blessing for the following reasons.

1- This is a VERY small company. They claim to have "Project Teams" but there is no team behind their business. The last I heard was that she hired one of her neighbors to be her secretary and the son (dumber than a box of rocks) of another friend to be a healthcare recruiter. She also 'cons' Rollins College into sending her an intern to basically act as cheap labor.

2 - She hires in waves and employees quit in bunches. Over the past 2 to 3 years, there has been about 20 recruiters who are no longer there. It is a BIG revolving door...think about it....20 people for a small company to loose over that time, certainly not all 20 have been bad employees.

3 - She is a control freak. She absolutely has to penetrate your life to know all about you and your family. There are company events that you HAVE to attend or you risk being fired, these events have to occur on the weekends and not on her company time. So once she gets into your family circle, she tries to control you personal life as much as she can.

4 - Internet Control - She believes that your own personal internet accounts such as linked in and Yahoo belongs to her and demands the passwords or an employee will be terminated. Sad to say that is a federal and state crime to control someone elses emails from either of these sites. From what I understand, there is a former employee who has proof from Yahoo and LinkedIn that she (or her closet husband) illegally got into that employee personal account....I hear that several employees are gathering information to take to the state attorney's office. Her husband, when not looking at Soap Operas at home is online in his closet trying to hack into employees email accounts etc. 

5 - Broken Promises - There are so many broken promise made by her that it is a shame.

6 - Company Debt - This company is only about 3 employees right now and they have over 1.5 million dollars in debt. This is just the real estate debt, you can look at the property appraiser for a few counties in FL for this....all public records.

7 - Non payment of commissions - Before you can work there, every employee signs a non-compete and that says that if you leave the company for any reason you will not get paid commissions. Guess what, I know about 3 former employees that had placements that are no longer there as they were terminated before the checks came into Her....I guess with so much debt, you have to do business like that.

8 - Hours - She would have called your home at all hours especially during diner to talk about work. Some former employees are still bothered today by her calls. She really has few friends.

9 - Respect in the Recruiting World - Very few people respect her anymore as she has been described as VERY overbearing. They all have to play nice with her, if not she sends them a Fruit Basket as she looses their business.

So Bill.....I could go on and on about this company. Your wife should be thankful that she is not a part of that "Career Solutions International" scam....a job a McDonalds would be more fun that working for Suzette.
