Well in June of 2005, I found myself very short of cash and needed rent money and other basic needs. Was in a cash crunch.

I saw the CASH CALL ad on television and felt desperate and called them, and worked with an agent over the phone and went over my contract via the internet.

I was upset, not thinking and was panicking over loosing my apartment. So they Cash Call have been electronically deducting $199.00 since June 2005.

I called them tonight to ask them what is the status of my loan and I should be near paying it off. To my shock the Customer Rep said I still owed $2400.00. I was horrified and asked what the interest rate is for the loan, the Rep says 90% and if I carried the loan out to its conclusion I would owe $9000.00 dollars total.

I was so shocked and humiliated I asked if I paid it off tomorrow what would I owe, Rep says $2400.00. Which I don't have, this is just robbery against the naive and desperate.

I want to know if there are any lawsuits pending against this company for the outrageous interest rate, or what are my options at this point. I cannot justify paying them $9000.00 for a $2600.00 loan. Can you help me or offer some suggestions.

Thank you for your time.

What can you do

AUTHOR: Theresa - (U.S.A.)

Hi kathleen:

I live very close to you and can tell you that cash call does sue many many people. I have seen most of the cases and defendant's like you and me never respond and they get judgments against people. The one's that do answer to this breach of contract they end up not getting the judgment against them. There are many problems I see with this company and they can be sued. I believe it is after 2 years that you sign the contract. I have talked to an attorney and was curious about going after cash call but decided not to. I think they need to be reported and they can be sued for unconsionable business practices especially with the illegal phone calls and high interest. Alot of people do not realize that this interest is so high espoecially working with an internet company like this. They took money out of my account without my permission for the amount we agreed on. So I stopped paying them.
