I wish I had done my research before working with this company and now I am truly sorry.  Don't believe any of the positive testimonials...they have been created by a marketing consultant, not a real customer.

"cashforiphones.com" (AKA cash for laptops) runs a scam where they use a fake online evaluation tool that promises you big bucks for your phone or computer.  They then require you to talk with one of their agents after your device has been "inspected".  Surprise, surprise, the "inspector" has found a problem and they can now only offer you 25% of what you were originally quoted by the tool.  

Take note: this happens to EVERYBODY that sends in a device.  It's not just you.  That's their whole business plan.

They won't budge on price, so your only recourse is to go through the inconvenience of having them ship your device back to you.  

To make matters worse, it has been 20 days and still no check.  I decided to accept their lowball offer because I was going through a tough time (a family member had just died).  I now wish I'd asked for it back and started over.

I have been robbed of my time, my device, and the money that was promised.

Shame on cashforiphones.com, it's owners, and its employess.  Everyone involved must know they are participating in something unethical, and perhaps illegal.  A pox on all your houses!

I suspect the online quote tool scan is against the law, and I hope that the Nevada Attorney General is looking into this.  I also hope that the FTC is investigating.
