I received a call from a recruiter wanting to know if I was interested in a job as a Business Analyst for AT&T said he had seen my resume on Monster.com. I was currently job hunting and of course called back to get the details.  Once I communicated with the recruiter he then wanted to get some more of my information.  He also asked for my social security number, I have never ever before had a recruiter ask for my social security number unless I actually had already went to an interview and accepted the assignment and then would fill out the necessary paperwork for payroll. Then the next day I receive a call from a collection agency stating they are with Cavalry Porfolio Services, LLC.  I already had paid off an account they were calling me about with a different agency in May 2011, now this one is calling wanting the same account paid off.

I told them I had already paid that account off with another company.  He ignored what I had told him.  Then the guy said as he was reviewing my credit report (is it really legal for these debt collectors to be able to review your credit report and is it really legal for a credit card company to sell all of your information you gave them at one time??) it looked like I was paying my car fine and other accounts, which I only have two active accounts, then he went through all of my credit report details as if he thought he would insult me.  I told him I have already been scammed by a mortgage company and there is a class act law suit against them.  Then I told the guy I would have to confirm what he is inquiring about.

Then he still ignored the facts and states why can't I just defer my car payment a few months, isn't there anyone that can help you (this is the second time they called and keep harrassing me and asking me isn't there anyone who can help, it looks like you are paying you car fine)  I will be getting a lawyer, if any lawyers see this please give me a call, I would be happy to let someone have the opportunity to stop this harrassment and invasion of privacy, oh by the way, I have moved and I know for a fact they used my resume because now they are calling the home number not just the cell number.  It is now August 2011, I paid this account in three seperate payments already through a different agency during March through May 2011.  I think they are double dipping consumers I had this happen over 10 years ago after going through a divorce and it really was a scam then, so I am sure it is now.
