I recieved a credit card in the mail from CCS First National Card boasting my approval for a $6,500.00 credit line. For what? I asked, I never applied for any credit card. The card itself, along with all the documentation that came with it shows absolutely no affiliation with any actual credit company.

It also states that the card can only be used exclusively for CCS catalog purchases. There are no pictures, discriptions or even a mention of what these catalogs are or when you might receive one, if at all. There is also no mention of a website for any catalogs or the soposed CCS First National Card company. When i did an extensive search this site was the only one that came up with any information pertaining to this company. I've read the other complaints and saw that some people were asked for money or some sort of bank account information. What I received did not ask me for anything other than a phone call to activate my lovely new card.
Unfortunately for them I'm not an idiot and would never fall for a scam like this. How they got my name on their mailing list I'll never know.

I can say however that curiosity did get the better of me and I decided to call the toll free number provided, brilliantly in HUGE lettering, in the documentation (1-(800)-717-1278 or 1-(702)-256-3000), just to see if I could rattle one of their telemarketers.

I'm sad to say that no one answered the phone on a few attempts at calling.

I feel terribly sorry for anyone that was scammed by this "company". BUT, in my opinion, it was plain as day that it was a scam at first look of the envelope. I mean honestly, what reputible company sends out cards worth upwards of $6,500.00 without you even asking for them.
