i worked for celadon {aka smellydon} i now call them, on and off from 2003 til 2010.  the last time i was there was the worst i have ever been treated.  company driver did not work for me becasue i couldnt get more than 1500 mi per wk.  i ran everything they gave me.  i tried to switch dispatchers and that didnt work either.  so i then went and did the lease purchase with them becasue it was no money down walk away if i didnt like it and newer 07 volvo's.  payment per wk was 375 plus ins came to around 500.  this is a very good deal. they promised you 2200-2500 mi with the lease purchase. hahahahahah the work on their trucks is done by them.  when i broke down they let me sleep in the street and at this time i was still a company driver.  if u get fired they do not help u get home.  thy allow some people to have pets and others they tell no.  tolls will kill ya casue u dont always get reimbursed.  i went to steve russell who everyones is the CEO and he blew me off. wouldnt even give me 3 minutes of his time, promised me someone would call me to settle this problem.  what a joke that was.  steve russell is full of crap!!!  does not give a crap about the drivers.  only cares about the revenue! this company has become a total joke.  back in the day i would have told anyone this company is great.  Not anymore.  if u can get thru to a dispatcher they r rude to u and will tell you over and over i have to wait for customer service to get back to me.  they do not do anything but sit on their buts and wait for someone to tell them what to do.  when celadon buys out other companies they will tell all the people at that company they have a job and then after they got the company in there hands just about everyone gets fired!!  this was a sad situation when they did this to continental drivers.  THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU DONT WORK FOR THEM AS A DRIVER!!!!!
