If you live in New Bern and want a phone from Verizon Wireless DO NOT GO TO THE "Verizon" store outside the mall. It says "Verizon" but look under the lettering Cellular Sales. Thats all they are, a cell phone store that sells Verizon phones and accessories. The two guys running the place (which will never be there) are Mike Baker and Ari Mendlovitz. Mike Baker is a horrible person. His girlfriend, Kait, is a big joke. The only reason why he left the old market in which he was from was because Kait, Mikes girlfriend was too busy giving other reps BJ's. Oh and Mike you might to get a paternity test from what I hear the kids not yours. All the talk is true they do lie, cheat and steal. They have reps working for them like Scott Norris and Natalie. These two are so messed up on drugs they have no idea whats going on from day to day. They are so nice to you when you come in the store so they can get the sale. Do you think they remember you when you come back in 2 months later with a phone problem? Nope. Another thing they do is they have a login for Alltel. Yes, a website that is only for Alltel employees. They log in and get personal info like account numbers and contract end dates. This is illegal people! This company is s**t. They have shitty managers that only care about numbers not about their employees. You get on their bad side and you start getting the worst shift 3-9 until they get you gone. Then they hold on to your last check for 6 months. You will never see the money. Please make sure when you buy for Verizon it is a corporate store. If you are unsure just ask the rep approaching you, "Are you a dealer?" If they say yes, run out the door.

Look people you can get a phone from cellular sales that will be a great verizon phone and you will have great service. But look on here and see all the negative reports, all the mistreatment of employees and ask yourself is this who I want to do business with?
Cellular sales could give a d**n about their contractors working in the stores where you go for help w your phone. Those salespeople will be gone soon and your relationship will be gone also. They are only paid to sell something to you- that is the only time that they make money is when they sell you something. So if you need help with a problem on your new phone etc then who do you think is gonna be willing to help you more the people at cellular sales or the corporate store?
Also have you ever seen a corporate manager have to respond to numerous negative statements on here? No because they dont have to. Mike it is sad that you would take the time to write something positive about your New Bern store when you wont take two minutes to talk to a contractor in your store. There is so much confusion about how to do stuff in your stores and that is a reflection directly upon YOU!!
People take your business elsewhere!!!! It will be worth your while!!

If you live in New Bern and want Verizon service and Verizon phone, there is no better place than Cellular Sales to get your assistance. From the open and friendly atmosphere of their store to the full service, business and consumer, of every person there, fighting the crowds of repair customers at a corporate service center store is not worth it. Since the inception of capitalism and the desire of publically-held companies to diversify its holdings and reach to privately-held companies at a much reduced cost, there have been 3rd parties who can provide the same benefits of working with the parent organization while adding the freedom to have a more personal relationship due to the lack of restriction placed on them by a board of directors looking to get their quarterly return on their investment. This is a company that has managed to create opportunity for over 17 years of history without a lay-off or downsizing. Since the inception of Verizon Wireless in the late nineties, Cellular Sales has provided more sales annually for Verizon than any other company in existence.
Mike Baker and Ari Mendlovitz have proven themselves over 20 combined years on their abilty to not only sell, but manage and mentor those who are willing to actually commit to the company for whom they intrust their career path. Do you know any company whose key decision makers are in the stores that fall under their region regularly? Walk into a Verizon Corporate store and look for Ivan Seidenberg, the Chairman and CEO. See him? What about AT&T and Randall L. Stephenson, Sprint and Dan Hesse, or T-Mobile and Robert Dotson? Doubt it. When you manage and operate nearly 30 stores in North and South Carolina, how can you possibly be in every place at once? Impossible to expect and even more ridiculous to insinuate their requirement to do so.
Your disgust and slander (ie. drug and infidelity refernces) proves an inability to not only act in the manner in which truly successful business professionals are expected to act, but also lends credence to the fact that you have obvious personal confidence issues and a distinct inability to accurately portray the reality of an organization that has done nothing but provide opportunity for those who can handle the responsibility that comes with earning the highest commissions in the wireless industry. I truly hope that you have found a company that only operates in the manner which you see fit for profit generation. Until then, your happiness and ability to mature in to someone who can honestly admit that all companies have a motive to grow and succeed will be severely hampered.
