You've all heard those crazy ads by Central Kia of Plano. Sound too good? Well they are. They promise $3000 minimum for your trade. They offer cars for $5400, $99 payment if you have a job. Forget about it !!!
Here's how they operate. You get in there and first thing....where's the $5400 car. Right here sir.....totally stripped down with no A/C in TEXAS. They obviously are not servicing Texans which is a disgrace. OK, no problem. Then they ask...trade in? Oh yeah and I want my $3000 for my trade....sorry sir, you only get that if you buy a particular car. I should have left right then. OK, so I buy that car because I live in Texas and I'd like cold air blowing through the vents. Time to negotiate with the sales person. Only wants to talk payment. I ask about price of the car....sorry sir you'll have to talk over that with the sales manager. OK no problem. I'm approved. I get in to look paperwork over after 2 hours of waiting. They do this so you can forget what was mentioned while you spoke to the sales person on the floor and he conveniently disappears. Sales manager comes to me and says, come on in sir to view paperwork and here have a Coke on us. Paperwork is totally filled in and oh sorry sir, we can't change any of this. Only $1000 for my trade-in, nothing off car, paperwork to sign over rebate that is explained will be taken off the price of the car (guess what, never was on totals sheet). Never mind about the high priced warranty they hammer on you to buy - my gosh, the car comes with a 100,000 mile warranty!

Had I bought the car, they would have ripped me off $3500 ($2000 trade-in and $1500 rebate). Do yourself a favor, walk away and go buy a car at CarMax. These guys stink to high heaven.
