On Nov 24th, 2006 I order a Nikon D50 Camera and by their advertisement it appeared to be in stock. I received the below e-mail saying there was a need for verification so that They can confirm your purchase. I called the day after I received this email and confirmed my order and was told that they were out of stock and it would be 2 to 3 weeks before it would be in. They also pushed me to buy more accessories for the camera and became rude when I did not want any. I planned on the camera being a Christmas Gift. 2 weeks came and went, and I did not hear from them so I called and was told it would be another week. 3 weeks came and went and again I was told it would be another week. 4 weeks came and went so I sent an email to them but got no response so I called and after sitting on hold for a 1/2 hr I finally got someone to answer the phone who put me back on hold and had Charles answer it. After looking up my order he told me that the camera was discontinued, so I canceled the order and they hung up on me. Now hear I am 4 days before Christmas and I have to scramble to find it somewhere else to buy it. I found a place but at a considerable higher price. Had I been notified sooner that their ad was not what it appeared to be and that they could not get it, I would have been able to find a better price sooner. I called their customer service dept, which turned out to be a waste of time. They acted like "Oh well we couldn't get it" type attitude and were also rude. I contacted my credit card company and advised them of the incident and to block any charges that should come from this company, but I'm still going to have to monitor it for awhile not knowing what these people will do. Avoid them at all cost!!!! I have also contacted the NY BBB.
